Meetings and Presentations

I met with the ACS Examinations Conmittee at the Chicago ACS meeting and presented the results of Deanin s survey. I was asked to formulate and chair a testing conmittee for the purpose of generating a standardized test.

At every stage in the development of this book, the committee has maintained a close dialogue with the community of expected users through discussions with experts, participation of observers at committee meetings, and presentations to various professional organizations. In addition, subcommittees of experts were appointed to provide advice in several specialized areas. The goal in these discussions with authorities and with the general community of industrial and academic researchers and teachers has been to determine what are considered prudent practices for laboratory operations. 

This publication has been prepared through the collaboration of all participants of this meeting and presents its final report, which summarizes the major features and identifies the technology and infrastructure development needs common to certain groups of the SMR concepts and designs considered at the meeting. 

The NDT Newsgroup and other forums are playing an important role in expediting meeting and communieation among your NDT colleagues on the Internet - Email is the most important tool for that. Not only technical discussions but also business to business or even direct inquiries are today handled via the Internet. Statistics are presented with more information on specific usage. 

In problem solving and process studies, the front-end work is important. Proper definition and direction developed at the beginning will assure meeting corporate goals in a timely fashion. This section establishes the type of study example to be used for illustrating principles and philosophy, and presents the basic items necessary to begin such a study. 

Don t impose presentation standards that are costly to meet and maintain. 

In South Asia the DUREM series of meetings held in India, based on the style of the BERM meetings and organized by the Indian Central Pollution Control Board, which are designed to present RM and metrology matters in the context of analytical chemistry in India (Mahwar et al. 1998),...

John and presented before the Division of Agricultural and Food Chemistry of the American Chemical Society at the spring 1949 meeting of the American Chemical Society in San Francisco and the fall meeting in Atlantic City.

I explained how this information would be used in the future to shut down their operations. They thanked me and left. Soon thereafter, the following things happened ... 

We present here the results for 14 elements from C to Zn. Results for heavier elements are presented by Patrick Francois at this meeting, and a more detailed discussion about C and N abundances versus mixing, in the stars of the sample, is presented by Monique Spite. Here we are interested in the initial composition of the stars, so we have eliminated the stars which have undergone evolutionary alteration of their initial composition, for the elements affected by this process, of C,N and to some extend Na. This cleaning up is evidenced in fig. 4 by the comparison of of the left and right panels.
