Mecoprop methyl

Enantiomer separation of various compounds such as barbituric acids, benzoin, MTH-proline, glutethimide, a-methyl-oc-phenyl-succinimide, y-phenyl-y-butyrolac-tone, methyl-mandelate, l-(2-naphthyl)ethanol, mecoprop methyl, diclofop methyl and fenoxaprop methyl by pressure supported CEC on a permethyl-P-cyclodextrin modified stationary phase was described by Wistuba and Schurig [42-44]. Three different separation beds were used (i) permethyl-P-cyclodextrin was covalently attached via a thioether to silica (Chira-Dex-silica) [42], permethyl-P-cyclodextrin was linked to a dimethylpolysiloxane and thermally immobilized (ii) on silica (Chirasil-Dex-silica) [43] or (iii) on a silica monolith (Chirasil-Dex-monolith) [44], respectively. [Pg.340]

Restricted access phases are another approach to exploiting the differences in characteristics of analytes. Large analytes are excluded from an internal surface on which an adsorptive stationary phase is present. A herbicide analysis for Metsulfuron methyl, Bentazone, Bromoxynil, methylchlorophenoxy acid, and Mecoprop in the presence of humic acid was performed on restricted access reversed phase media.52 The cytostatic compound epirubicin and its metabolites were separated from plasma using a Pinkerton GFF II column.53 Gradient separations of polymers on reversed phase and on normal phase represent an alternative to gel permeation chromatography. Polyesters of noncrystalline materials were separated on a variety of such phases.54... [Pg.64]

Many methods have been reported for the extraction of these compounds from soil. Khan [225] used acidified acetone followed by methylation with diazomethane for the simultaneous determination of 2,4-D, Dicamba and Mecoprop residues, as did Bache and Lisk [226] for Ioxynil. Abbott et al. [227] developed a method for MCPA, MCPB, 2,4-D Dichloroprop and 2,4,5-T in which dilute sulphuric acid and diethyl ether were used for extraction. Byast et al. [101] have shown that diethyl ether-chloroform-acetic acid is a suitable extractant for 2,4,5-T, 2,4-D, Dichloroprop and Dicamba [101] and saturated calcium hydroxide solution is efficient for Picloram [228] and 3,6-dichloropicolinic acid [229]. [Pg.267]

Common broadleaf weeds in turfgrasses, such as those listed in Table 19.1, are also controlled by other herbicides such as 2,4-D, dicamba, dichloroprop, 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxyacetic acid (MCPA), mecoprop, clopyralid, and tri-clopyr, or combinations of these products (Bingham and Shaffran, 1982 Bingham et al., 1986 Coats et al., 1994 Johnson and Murphy, 1995 Murphy and Johnson, 1995). [Pg.239]

P-chloro-o-cresol is the precursor for the pesticides MCPA (2-methyl-4-chloro-phenoxyacetic acid), MCPP (2-methyl-4-chloro-phenoxy propionic acid) and MCPB (2-methyl-4-chloro-phenoxy butyric acid). MCPP is also known as mecoprop. [Pg.117]

The three most important members of this group of compounds are 2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)propionic acid (dichlorprop, 2,4-DP, 8), 2-(4-chIoro-2-methyl-phenoxy)propionic acid (MCPP, CMPP, mecoprop, 9) and 2-(2,4,5-trichIoro-phenoxy)propionic acid (2,4,5-TP, fenoprop, silvex, 10). [Pg.508]
