Herbicides, triazine

ESI performs well for the more polar compounds such as imidazolinone herbicides, sulfonylurea herbicides, triazine herbicides, phenoxy acid herbicides, and carbamate pesticides (to name a few). ESI also performs well with proteins and peptides. [Pg.767]

Alkylthiotriazines. In our laboratory we have studied the metabolic fate of 2-(4-ethylamino-6-methylthio- -triazin-2-ylamino)-2-methylpropionitrile (cyanatryn, 1, Fig. 1). This compound is a member of a class of herbicidal -triazines which also includes ametryne, prometryne and terbutryne. We were interested to note ( ) that two of the major metabolites of cyanatryn were the mercapturic acids 2-[A-ethylamino-6-(N-acetylcysteinyl)- -triazin-2-ylamino]-2-methylpropionitrTle (2.1) and its N-de-ethyl derivative (2.2) (Fig. 2). This pathway had not hitherto been reported for this class of compound. [Pg.53]

Cyanuric chloride [2,4,6-trichloro-l,3,5-triazine (59)] is the basis of three major industrial applications triazine herbicides, triazine dyes, and optical whitening agents. It is not, however, made commercially by chlori-... [Pg.323]

In subsequent work, Piletsky et al. [26] devised a somewhat simpler system for the fluorescent detection of the herbicide triazine. This technique was based upon the competition of the template and a fluorescent analogue (reporter) for the... [Pg.474]

Of the herbicides, triazines, carbamates, acid amides and phenylureas inhibit photosynthesis. Due to this specific activity, these herbicides are more toxic to plants than to animals. [Pg.717]

During the short time of their application in the early 1980s, DLI interfaces were often applied for substance-specific analysis [60] of various types of pesticides and herbicides (triazines, carbamates, organophosphorus compounds) [61-67], chlorinated phenoxyacetic acids, phenylureas, analides (alachlor, propachlor and aldi-carb) [63]. [Pg.752]

Herbicidal -triazines have been on the market for more than 35 years simazine was introduced in 1956 and atrazine in 1957 (Worthing 1991). The current list contains a dozen important compounds (Loosli 1994). Experimental toxicology data suggested s -triazines to be safe in production and in recommended applications to crops. Health data of manufacturers and field workers corroborated the favorable expectations that is, factories and farms have never refiorted health effects in personnel. [Pg.47]
