This group of references all contain information regarding the production (and producers) of nitric acid both in Australia and worldwide. No single reference was outstanding as each contained 

Reference MD1 provided data for world nitric add production for each year from 1966-76. References MD3 and MD4 are much more comprehensive in this respect, and they complete the world production figures up to 1984. They also list data for many countries including production figures, imports and exports, and the names of the producers in each country. Reference MD2 extends the list of Australian producers included in Refs. MD3 and MD4. 

References M D5 to MD7 are publications of the Australian Bureau of Statistics. These papers provide data for Australian production, import and export figures, and prices paid/received. The real value of these sources is that information only a few months old is available. References M D8 and M D9 both provide data for nitric acid prices on

Other pigments are consumed in considerably smaller amounts. Moreover, the market data for these pigments are not as readily available as those for carbon blacks, titanium dioxide, and iron oxides. 

Production and trade figures are pubUshed by the U.S. Bureau of Mines (22), the American Bureau of Metal Statistics (23), the Canadian Department of Energy, Mines, and Resources (24), and the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (25). Production figures are often incomplete because of the need to avoid disclosure of proprietary data. Hence, marketing data is often estimated. 

Market Data. The largest U.S. manufacturer of molecular sieves for adsorbent and desiccant use is UOP, which has a production capacity of 18—20 million kg/year. W.R. Grace and Zeochem have about 7 and 2 million kg/year capacity, respectively (55). W.R. Grace is the largest producer of siUca gel desiccants. Activated alumina for use as adsorbent and desiccant is produced by LaRoche Chemicals (formerly Kaiser) and by Aluminum Company of America. About one-third of the U.S. supply of activated alumina adsorbent and desiccant is imported by Rhc ne-Poulenc.

Scrip World Pharmaceutical News. Published twice weekly, Scrip World Pharmaceutical News [100] covers the commercial pharmaceutical marketplace with news, products, R D, regulatory issues, market data, business, and finance. This product is commercially available in several formats. 

To provide useful data, the latter requires change over time. The limitation of this type of analysis is that, as yet, there is no systematic collection of organic market data, which makes it difficult to generalise across countries. The situation in Europe is being addressed by the activities of EISfOM. See for example, Recke el al. (2004). The current chapter therefore draws on a number of different studies and data collections in order to illustrate the arguments put forward.

The development of the information required for Table 9-27 was discussed previously in Sec. 9 with the exception of marketing information. An important document for a feasibility analysis is the marketing data so that the latest income projections can be included for management s consideration. As a minimum, the tabulation of sales volume, sales prices, and market share both domestically and globally should be included. Table 9-28 shows a sample of such marketing information.
