Machines beam dyeing

BURCO LUBRICANT CWN is suitable on jets. BURCO LUBRICANT CWN has leveling action reducing crossovers in package dyeing. BURCO LUBRICANT CWN improves flow on beam dye machines. [Pg.115]

Beam dyeing machine n. A machine for dyeing warp yams or fabrics that have been wound onto a special beam, the barrel of which is evenly perforated with holes. The dye liquor is forced through the yarn or fabric from inside to outside and vice versa. Kadolph SJJ, Langford AL (2001) Textiles. Pearson Education, New York. Industrial dye chemistry, properties and applications, John Wiley and Sons, New York, 2003. [Pg.95]

Fabrics are dyed in machines that move them through the dye liquor either under tension (jig) or relaxed (beck). Fabrics also can be dyed in full width by winding them on a perforated beam through which hot dye liquor is pumped. This is the principle of the Burlington beam dyeing machine. [Pg.875]

Piece goods made of CA are usually dyed in a jigger, less often in a star frame or winch beck, with gentle material guidance. The piece beam is suitable for warp materials. Yam was previously dyed in hanks. Since suitable winding machines are available, CA can also be dyed on cylindrical cheeses. Woven CA fabrics are occasionally dyed semicontinuously in a pad roll system at 80-90 °C. Dyeing auxiliaries are subsequently washed out. [Pg.410]

CNC SUPERKLEEN C can be applied on becks, beams, jets or package dye machines. [Pg.148]

Raw stocks and yams in packages or in beams can be bleached only by the liquor circulating machines. Cotton yam in the form of hank can be bleached as a rope of cloth using pressure kiers, washing machines and hypochlorite bleaching pits. But the modem tendency is to bleach in a more efficient manner in dyeing machines in the form of beams (Fig. 7-3) and packages (Fig. 7-4). This machine... [Pg.218]

Silica suspended in water can interfere with certain dyeing operations and can cause visible turbidity, as discussed in the introduction to this chapter. Various forms of silica can be determined by any one of several methods as described in Standard Method 4500-Si. For textile use, total silica is the most important. This may be determined gravimetrically by Standard Method 4500-Si-C or by atomic absorption spectrometry by Standard Method 311 ID (Standard Methods, 1998). For information of atomic absorption methods, see the Metals section below. Also, since the detrimental effects in textiles are related primarily to fdtering of the silica on beam and package machines, it often suffices to measure the total suspended solids (TSS) in the water supply. TSS testing is described later in this chapter and is simpler than silica testing. [Pg.252]

For very low diffusion coefficients smaller inter-gap spacings are required. Electron and hole hopping diffusion rates in fully shielded mesoporous oxides are low, typically 10 m s V with notable exceptions and therefore sub-micron inter-electrode gaps are necessary for feedback currents to be measurable. A focused ion beam (FIB) machined trench (ca. 400 600 nm wide) in tin-doped indium oxide (ITO) films has been suggested and used for films of mesoporous titania, chromium oxide, and for dye-modified metal-organic framework UMCM-1. The dual-hemisphere... [Pg.145]
