Location of wells

Other information that can be obtained from such map is the location of faults, the status and location of wells and the location of the fluid contacts. Figure 5.45 shows some of the most frequently used map symbols. Structural maps are used in the planning of development activities such as well trajectories/targets and the estimation of reserves.

Correct molecular structures are dependent on the proper location of wells in the PES, so they are intimately related to the energetics of conformational analysis. For organic molecules, most gross structural details are modeled with a reasonable degree of accuracy. Dewar, Jie, and Yu (1993) evaluated AMI and PM3 for 344 bond lengths and 146 valence angles...

Thirty crude oils from the BCF were collected (1) along two parallel and generally southwest-northeast trends. The areal extent of the BCF showing locations of wells sampled is shown in Figure 1. These oils were characterized by their API gravity, percent saturates, aromatics, NSO and asphaltene compounds, gas chromatograms for whole oils, CA-C7 fractions, and aromatics. Concurrently, 24 associated waters were also sampled and analyzed for Ca++, Mg++, Na+, HC03, C03 , SOA , pH, and total dissolved solids (TDS) (1).

Answer 4.4 The fault in Fig. 4.6 was plotted on the basis of abrupt changes in recorded lithologies between wells 6 and 7 (Table, Fig. 4.6a). An alternative interpretation The calcareous sandstone was deposited on a limestone relief with a steep paleo-erosional face between the locations of wells 6 and 7.

Yerevan water supply aqueduct feed only groundwater bodies related to fractured basalts, and analyses of wells cross-sections indicate that water body in the location of wells 3, 11 are not overlaid by impermeable strata. And it is strongly recommended to limit economic activities in these locations.

Transmissivity of an aquifer may place a limit on the safe yield, even though this equation may indicate a potentially large draft. This can only be realised if the aquifer is capable of transmitting groundwater from the source area to the wells at a rate high enough to sustain the draft. Where the pollution of groundwater is possible, then the location of wells, their type...
