Least-change update

A formula (procedure), which modifies a given matrix so that the new matrix is a solution of the constrained minimization problem (14), is called a least--change update. The term "update will be clear when we consider some updates in detail. 

The MS-update (see Eq. (17)) is not a least-change update, i.e. it cannot be obtained as a solution of the constrained minimization problem (14), but it belongs to another important class of updates, namely to the Broyden s class (see below). A symmetric least-change update must be at least of rank two. 

Note, this update does not correspond to that given by Eq. (19). Generally, an inverse least-change update does not provide the inverse matrix of the direct update, i.e. If the matrix is positive...

Ideally, this results in self-optimizing control where no further optimization is required, but in practice some infrequent update of the setpoints Cg may be required. If the set of active constraints changes, then one may have to change the set of controlled variables c, or at least change their setpoints, since the optimal values are expected to change in a discontinuous manner when the set of active constraints change. 

By keeping the emission inventory current and updating it at least yearly as fuel uses change, industrial and population changes occur, and control equipment is added, a realistic record for the area is obtained. 

For example, one of our clients in the telecommunications industry recently built a business model. In that world, all the manufacturers and operators adhere to several standards. So some of the client s model was determined by what the standards say and will have to be updated whenever the standards change in other words, it imports the industry-standard virtual packages. So our client s business model contains definitions of the standardized concepts (or at least its interpretations of them) along with all its own definitions. Because there were not yet arty UML versions of these standards, we simply consider the standards documents to be part of an implicit virtual package and proceed to virtually import it. 

Most topics included in the second edition are retained in the current edition, which has been updated and considerably expanded from 10 to 22 chapters. For various reasons, the authors of many chapters have been changed and hence, in effect, are new chapters, at least the topic is viewed from a different perspective. 

An alternative SPM framework for autocorrelated data is developed by monitoring variations in time series model parameters that are updated at each new measurement instant. Parameter change detection with recursive weighted least squares was used to detect changes in the parameters and the order of a time series model that describes stock prices in financial markets [263]. Here, the recursive least squares is extended with adaptive forgetting. 

How often is the site updated With the rapidly changing mental health field and the increasing information resulting from research and scientific advances during the last decade, all sites that describe medications or other medical information should be updated at least monthly. 

OSHA requires that the hazards analysis be updated and revalidated at least every 5 years. The regulation does not require that a full hazards analysis be conducted for the revalidation—although it may make sense to do so if many changes have been made to the facility since the first hazards analysis was carried out, and/or the MOC process was not always followed. 

The security plan must be reviewed at least annually and revised and/or updated as necessary to reflect changes in circumstances. When the plan is updated or revised, all employees responsible for implementing it must be notified and all copies of the plan must be maintained as of the date of the most recent revision. 

The schedule should be reviewed and updated at least annually and whenever any changes are made in the work environments, machinery, equipment, or processes or if different respirator models are introduced or existing models are removed. 

Last but not least, modern chromatography data systems are equipped with a powerful report generator. An integrated Excel-compatible spreadsheet, for example, makes it easy to analyze data and to present results in the way the consumer wants to see them. Report workbooks can include result tables, chromatograms, calibration plots, spectra, audit trails, and even custom equations and charts. Every cell, table, and chart updates instantly if any of the source data changes. Thus, the operator never has to worry about consistency.
