Inserting Other Applications

We are able to insert fragments of other applications. Excel, MATLAB, LabView, into a Mathcad worksheet and exchange data with these programs. The insertion of fragments of Excel often facilitates the entry and representation of tables (vectors and matrixes, see Fig. 6.27) or for bringing its feature sets. [Pg.297]

The list of such applications depends on the programs installed on the computer (worksheets) or on the server (WebSheets, Fig. 6.124 shows the dialog tab of inserting components into the Mathcad). [Pg.297]

We may publish the Mathcad worksheets containing such components on the MAS only if we have solved license problems with developers of correspraiding [Pg.297]

Section 6.4 deals with other EI-MS analyses of samples, i.e. analyses using direct introduction methods (reservoir or reference inlet system and direct insertion probe). Applications of hyphenated electron impact mass-spectrometric techniques for poly-mer/additive analysis are described elsewhere GC-MS (Section 7.3.1.2), LC-PB-MS (Section 7.3.3.2), SFC-MS (Section 13.2.2) and TLC-MS (Section 7.3.5.4). [Pg.362]

Inserts are any parts of any material located into another plastic part during or after its processing. The best known are metal inserts for assembly by screwing but there are numerous other insert types (plastic parts, films. ..) for numerous other applications. [Pg.758]

It has been demonstrated35 that enolate trapping by the electrophilic iron-carbene complex 1 provides 2. Alkylation at sulfur followed by a-elimination again generates a carbene, which then inserts stoichiometrically 1,5 into the C —H bond to give the octahydroindenone 3. Several other applications of this cyclization have been published 3fi. [Pg.1137]

Because of their very low viscosity under heat and pressure, epoxy compounds are used in encapsulated coils, electronic components, capacitors, resistors, and many other applications where delicate metal inserts or wires must be protected. [Pg.33]

Carbon dioxide, 4 an important green house gas,45 is obtained in combustion of carbon and hydrocarbons, calcination of CaC03, and so on. It forms complexes with transition metals (Section 7-14) and inserts into MH and other bonds (Section 21-3). The gas is very soluble in ethanolamines, which are used to scrub C02 from gas streams. Liquid C02 at pressures up to 400 bar is a solvent for some organic compounds and is used to extract caffeine from coffee beans many studies of other applications of supercritical C02 have been conducted.46... [Pg.225]

Nonstandard amino acids can be either incorporated globally at multiple sites within a protein or inserted at specific locations (1, 15). Global misincorporation of nonstandard amino acids can produce protein polymers with altered physical properties that confer, for example, varied tensile strengths and elasticities (16). These unique biomaterials can be used in many medical applications, such as altering properties associated with cell adhesion. In other applications, routine replacement of methionine by selenomethionine aids in X-ray crystal structure determination. [Pg.35]

In many cases, the protection provided by a simple barrier coating such as RTV silicone will be suflScient to ensure long-term reliability of the device. Small, ceramic-based, hybrid ICs designed to be inserted into a PWB are often protected in this manner. However, for other applications, additional protection is required to provide impact and shock resistance (RTV silicones are very soft and offer little mechanical protection), better environmental protection, and a well-defined structure for subsequent assembly and handling. Such protection is provided by embedment in a hard plastic by transfer or injection molding as shown in Figure 1.6. The molding process leaves two parallel rows of pins exposed for subsequent connection to the PWB. [Pg.18]

One other application is the automation of a method for the determination of total vitamin C in foods [51]. Here, the robotic station is used for homogenization of the sample, weighing, addition of an extractant, centrifugation, filtration and clean-up through a C j( column. After this treatment, the sample is manually transferred to the FI autosampler. A derivatizing reaction is implemented along the FI manifold to obtain a fluorescent product prior to insertion into the spectrofluorimeter. Although not specifically stated, the information produced is also transferred manually between both systems. [Pg.517]

Lasing can be sustained over a continuous range of wavelengths on the order of 40 to 50 nm. The broad band over which lasing occurs makes the dye laser suitable for tuning by inserting a grating, a filter, a prism, or an interferometric element into the laser cavity. Dye lasers are very useful for molecular fluorescence spectroscopy and many other applications. [Pg.750]

Other applications are studies of rotation about double bonds 136>, ring inversion in cyclooctatetraene 137>, the insertion of carbon into ethylene and. fraws-2-butene to give allenes 133), the barrier height to inversion of nitrogen in hydrazine and alkylamines 133>, the Cope... [Pg.33]

In the Moore and Sharp19 procedure outlined below a radioactive phosphate is inserted at the junction by labelling the 3 -RNA using T4 polynucleotide kinase and [y-32P]ATP, but the ligation approach is useful for many other types of modifications. Other applications include ... [Pg.51]

Several papers investigated the use of SPME for VFA analysis in wastewater and in air. Briefly, a fiber is exposed to the sample headspace or inserted directly into the sample. Analytes adsorb onto the fiber and are subsequently desorbed at high temperatures in the GC injection port. SPME is a solvent-free technique which introduces less potential contaminants into the GC compared to direct injections. SPME is also rapid since no further sample preparation steps are required. It may be used for routine analysis provided that the specific autosampler required for this method is available and that the optimized method conditions are suitable for autosampler application. Further information on principles and other applications of this technique can be found elsewhere. " " Parameters which have been optimized for VFA analysis are fiber coating, fiber exposure time, sample temperature, sample pH, sample agitation, potential salt addition, and desorption parameters. Surrogate standards employed for VFA analysis were 2-ethylbutyric acids for GC/FID or GC/MS and C-labeled organic acids for GC/MS. The method was optimized using standards in deionized water and only a few wastewater samples were analyzed as examples. [Pg.481]
