Trailing indicators

Ants use a set of pheromones to communicate information between individual members of the colony. There are different chemical markers that indicate trails to food, alarm pheromones that are released when an ant is killed, and a number are used in the reproductive process. Some ant colonies even use pheromones to trick enemy colonies into attacking themselves or to convince the opposition into becoming worker ants for their own benefit. 

Trailing behavior has been suggested to play a role in the formation of various types of nonsexual aggregations of snakes. Researchers have indicated trails may lead snakes to dens, help form aggregations of gravid snakes, and be involved in aggregations that reduce water loss. 

Although checklists may be considered a plan, in the context of an audit they should be considered only as an aid to allow the auditor to follow trails that may lead to the discovery of pertinent facts. However, there is little point in drawing up a checklist then putting it aside. The checklist should represent the minimum aspects to be checked so that following the audit you have evidence indicating ... 

The chromatograms of standard latices indicate skewing at their trailing ends which becomes more pronounced as the particle size increases, possibly due to particle entrapment. 

Reactions of 2,3-dihydro-17/-1,4-diazepines with mesitonitrile oxide proceed with site- and regiospecific 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition leading to bis[ 1,2,4] oxadiazolo[l,4]diazepine derivatives 160 (326). Of the three compounds 160 only the one with R = R = Ph is formed with trails arranged substituents. The two other products (R = R = Me and R = Me, R = Ph) are mixtures of diastereoiso-mers. The heterotricyclic 6,1 Oa, 11,11 a-tetrahydro-5//-bis[ 1,2,4]oxadiazolo[4,5-d 5 -g][, A diiazeipm.e structure 160 of the obtained bis-adducts indicates that the hetero double bonds are much more reactive than the olefinic ones. No evidence for the formation of monoadducts was obtained.

Other transport limitations, such as diffusion-controlled reactions, can lead to localized depletion of etchant, which results in a number of observable etch effects. The size and density of features can influence the etch rate at different locations on a single wafer, thus producing "pattern sensitivity." Depletion across a wafer produces a "bulls eye" effect, while depletion across a reactor is indicated by the fact that the leading wafer edge etches faster than the trailing edge. Similar effects are noted when product removal is transport-limited. Most of these effects can be reduced...

Documentation of procedures assuring that data are accurately recorded to preserve data integrity should include audit trail reports indicating all data entered, chauiged, or deleted. These reports should be reviewed thoroughly by the appropriate personnel. 

Written procedures and practices must be in place within the laboratory to verify the accuracy of manually entered and electronically transferred data collected on automated systems. The primary documentation for data entry requirements is an audit trail. Laboratories must ensure that an audit trail exists and is maintained. This audit trail must indicate date and time stamps for each record transmitted and the source instrument for each entry. 

Ellipses can be used to indicate a pause in dialogue or a trailing off of dialogue. If a complete sentence is fading, use four dots, with no space between the final word and the dots. (One of the dots serves as a period.) If a sentence fragment is trailing off, use three dots, leaving a space between the end of the final word and the first dot.
