INDEX phosphoric acid

In an investigation into the synthetic utility of the oxyindole 122, a wide variety of benzo- and heterocyclo-fused indexes and carbazoles was prepared, e.g., the indolo[3,2-a]carbazole 123 (Scheme 16). Thus, when 122 was reacted with indo-lylacetonitrile 124 in the presence of a base, followed by heating with phosphoric acid, the indolocarbazole 123 could be isolated in good yield (99T11563). 

Phosphoric acid ester was used as a model for the estimation of concentration of a reagent in an adsorbed layer by optical measurements of the intensity of a beam reflecting externally from the liquid-liquid interface. The refractive index of an adsorbed layer between water and organic solution phases was measured through an external reflection method with a polarized incident laser beam to estimate the concentration of a surfactant at the interface. Variation of the interfacial concentration with the bulk concentration estimated on phosphoric acid ester in heptane and water system from the optical method agreed with the results determined from the interfacial tension measurements... 

Several compounds have been proposed for the measurement of the void volume, including sodium nitrate solution, water, deuterium oxide, fructose, acetonitrile, tetrahydrofuran (THF), meso-erythritol, gluconolactone, and 2,4-dinitronaphthol. The elution volume of a number of these compounds has been measured in 10-90% aqueous acetonitrile and acidic-aqueous acetonitrile. The results are given in Figure 3.9 where the volumes in A and B were measured in aqueous acetonitrile and in C and D were measured in aqueous acetonitrile containing 50 mM phosphoric acid. Methanol (a) and deuterium oxide (g) showed two peaks when monitored by a refractive index detector (Figure 3.9C).

There is one exception. Where a polybasic class I acid, e.g., phosphoric acid, is esterified by two or more different alcohols, the acid heading is always used. Thus, chloromethyl dimethyl phosphate is indexed at phosphoric acid, chloromethyl dimethyl ester because the alcoholic components are not alike. 

Effect of interaction of acid and cellulose at the stages of impregnation and thermal pretreatment depends on the cellulose properties. TLC and HPLC. To determine the best solvents for HPLC, 5pl of the C18 concentrated PVP fraction were separated on analytical TLC plates coated with either C18 reversed phase adsorbant or with silica. One cm sections of the plates were removed, placed in buffer, hydrolyzed, extracted and the p-damascenone charm determined. Standards containing 5 mg each of 1 -O-n-octyl- p-D-glucopyranoside and a-methyl-D-mannoside were run simultaneously on the same plate and visualized by spraying with aniline-diphenylamine-acetone-phosphoric acid 80% (4 mL 4 g 200 mL 30 mL) (10). HPLC separations were performed on a 0.46 mm x 25 cm column packed with 5 im C18, eluted with 60/40 methanol water at a flow of 0.8 mL/min. The refractive index of samples was recorded with a Knauer differential refractometer. Fractions were collected every minute and assayed for p-damascenone charm.

[238] have used the group philicity index to estimate the pK s of several phosphoric acid esters and related compounds They included the calculations in a group with anilines and alcohols, but the numerical results for the phosphoric acids appear generally good Moser, Range, and York [301] have calculated gas-phase proton affinities and basicities for a large collection of acyclic and cyclic phosphates.
