Is there a risk of implementing this redesign without training necessary personnel on the process overview ... [Pg.167]

Figure 12.2 provides an Overview of a Typical JHA Implementation Process . [Pg.237]

The following chart provides an overview of the stages in the implementation process. The first stage is discussed in Chapter 5, and subsequent chapters discuss later stages. [Pg.29]

In order to operate a process facility in a safe and efficient manner, it is essential to be able to control the process at a desired state or sequence of states. This goal is usually achieved by implementing control strategies on a broad array of hardware and software. The state of a process is characterized by specific values for a relevant set of variables, eg, temperatures, flows, pressures, compositions, etc. Both external and internal conditions, classified as uncontrollable or controllable, affect the state. Controllable conditions may be further classified as controlled, manipulated, or not controlled. Excellent overviews of the basic concepts of process control are available (1 6). [Pg.60]

Table 8.1 gives an overview of structural and operational measures that affect the type and course of the in-sewer dry-weather processes. The table exemplifies how process design and operation of sewer networks can be implemented. In other words, it is an overview of methods for wastewater design. ... [Pg.207]

In this chapter I will provide a brief historic perspective, outline the manufacturing drivers for process analysis, provide a high-level overview of process analytical instrumentation, describe the PA method development life cycle prior to implementation and highlight the common pitfalls and challenges within the PA field. I have taken a pragmatic approach herein as the many benefits of PA are realized when a suitable process instrument and method is successfully implemented within a routine manufacturing environment, which is most often a multifaceted endeavor. [Pg.3]

This chapter provides an overview of a management system for investigating process safety incidents. It opens with a review of management responsibilities and presents the important features that a management system must address to be effective. It examines systematic approaches that help implement incident investigation teams, root cause determinations, recommendations, follow-up, and documentation. [Pg.7]

During the first 1-5 months it is necessary for experts and NCPCs to get an overview of industrial processes and technologies applied in the company to be able to set up a detailed work plan for the implementation of ChL. Besides that, presentations to the top management and awareness raising for the staff of the company and other involved partners need to be undertaken. [Pg.135]
