Equation (6) At this particular stage if a weak acid, e.g., acetic acid is added to the resulting solution of (I) above, the latter compound (i.e., I) readily interacts with the hypochlorus acid yielding the Dichloramine-T (or Toluene-p-sulphon-dichloro amide), which being water-insoluble gets separated rapidly. 

Rosen (1977) has presented evidence that formation of hypochlorus acid by the MPO-H2O2-CI system generates 2 in an identical manner to the reaction of H2O2 in sodium hypochlorite. Peters (1972) has shown potassium peroxychromate to liberate 02 upon decomposition while Khan (1970) has shown the evolution of 02 from potassium superoxide in dimethyl-sulfoxide. Spectral evaluation of these CL sources revealed filter transmission patterns similar to the CL produced by phagocytozing PMN and MNL s and that produced by H2O2 oxidation reactions. 

An infusion of the dried flowering tops showed in vitro hydroxyl radical and hypochlorus acid scavenging activity. Orally administered, a Altered water suspension of the dried herb showed anti-inflammatory activity in a rat model of polyarthritis and when topically applied in a cream (2.5-10%) in the air-pouch granuloma bioassay. Antipyretic activity was found in rats from oral administration of the suspension against 2,4-dinitrophenol- and amphetamine-induced hyperthermia. Antipyretic activity of the herh is reported to be due to phenolic acids.Hepatoprotective activity against acetaminophen-induced toxicity was shown from oral administration of a methanol extract of the leaves. 

In oxidizing media and acids, titanium alloys are, in general, corrosion resistant, for example, in chromic, nitric, perchloric, and hypochlorus adds and their salts.
