Several detailed performance measures were collected, comprising extensive information about the various phases of the scenario corresponding to the defined HFEs. However, for the present paper, audio/video recordings coupled with simulator log data, constituted the fundamental sources for writing partial communication extracts and narratives of crew performance of the HFEs, and for allowing detailed understanding of what the crews did, when they did it, and why. Interdisciplinary teams of operational experts and human factor specialists performed all analyses these constitute the source material for the analysis presented in this paper. Quantitative and qualitative results about the crew performance of the HFEs, the drivers of performance and the observed difficulties will be reported in a Halden Work Report (HWR) and later in a NUREG report, as part of the International Empirical HRA study. [Pg.289]

Helimeich, R.L., Ktinect, J.R., Wilhelm, J.A. and Jones, S.G. (1999), The Line LOS Checklist, Version 6.0 A checkhst for human factors skills assessment, a log for external threats, and a worksheet for flightcrew error management , The University of Texas Team Research Project Technical Report 99-01. [Pg.196]

Later that year, the same team 0uergens et al., 1998b) reported a dose-dependent and highly signi cant inhibition of tumor necrosis factor-a (TNF-a), IL-ip, thromboxane B2, and LTB production by 1,8 cineole from stimulated human monocytes in vitro. [Pg.414]

A number of teams have continued their work on the structures of the proteins involved in the complex processes of blood clotting. The elucidation of the sequences of the y and -chains of human fibrin has been completed. Homologies between the , /S, and y chains have been discussed. Wiman has reported the complete primary structure of the B-chain of plasmin in this work an ambiguity was resolved because of the pronounced homologies between this protein, the B-chains of thrombin and factor XA and the pancreatic serine proteases. [Pg.169]

Some relevant findings whose figures are not shown, are About emotional demands, most respondents report being sometimes exposed to situations with emotional impact (61.3%) and required to provide emotional responses (56.1%) (in this aspect, the interviewee All refers concern for the human environment experienced with co-workers , while the person A3 says that, emotionally, is affect by human relations ). About participation/supervision factor, most individuals can only participate in decisions to change the way they work In concern by the employee/ compensation factor, they consider professional development as being insufficient (23.9%), or non-existent (43.2%) In factor relationships and social support , the interviewee A3 refers to The interaction between people leaves much to be desired and that I think we are terrible for each other, while the person A8 mentions some worse, others better and this is a problem and that there is no team spirit. ... [Pg.263]
