We cannot explain these results. In our experiments, morpholine added to the aqueous methanol yielded 1,032 ng NMOR/5 g homogenate (Table III, exp. 1) and morpholine gavaged to mice yielded 700 ng NMOR/5 g homogenate (Table II, exp. 1). 

A special type of homogeneous measurements is found in a compositiorml table which describes chemical samples by means of the relative concentrations of their components. By definition, relative concentrations in each row of a compositional table add up to unity or to 100%. Such a table is said to be closed with respect to the rows. In general, closure of a table results when their rows or columns add up to a constant value. This operation is only applicable to homogeneous tables. Yet another type of homogeneous table arises when the rows or columns can be ordered according to a physical parameter, such as in a table of spectroscopic absorptions by chemical samples obtained at different wavelengths. 

Establishing Optima for Aldrin Epoxidation Using Whole Body Homogenates. The addition of all component chemicals increased dieldrin production greater than 3X compared to the unmodified homogenate (Table IV). As the optimum of each factor was established, it was used in all subsequent experiments. 

After establishing optimum reaction conditions, the effect of chemical supplements upon epoxidase activity was re-examined. Several chemicals used in preliminary incubation mixtures and throughout optimizing experiments had no effect upon dieldrin production under optimum conditions. These are BSA, KC1 and NADH (Table V). Overall, there was a 22-fold enhancement of in vitro epoxidase activity when initial conditions (crude homogenate, Table IVJ are compared to optimum conditions (homogenate plus electron generator, Table V). FMN decreased, FAD slightly increased and PBO completely inhibited in vitro epoxidase activity (Table VI). 

Cell-surface BI cellulase is envisaged as the form which is active against cellulose in peas in vivo, with a function that may be constructive in that it can act synergistically with plasma membrane-bound / -glucan synthetase complexes to enhance the rate of cellulose deposition (7,8,9). BS cellulase never appears to reach the wall in vivo in a form recognized by a BS antiserum (II). BS cellulase does not even bind readily to wall material in homogenates (Table III) despite its ability to bind to cellulose (3) and hydrolyze it (Table I). It is possible that BS cellulase functions intracellularly to hydrolyze a noncellulosic organelle-bound polysac-... 

Generally, the estimated volumes of distribution are small and relatively homogeneous (Table 3.5). mAbs initially distribute into a restricted central volume (Vc) of 3-5 L, which in humans approximates the serum volume. In order to evaluate the value in patients with respect to physiology, it must be kept in mind that, especially in tumor patients, the cellular fraction in blood and the hematocrit may be decreased and hence the serum volume will be increased. 

Mercury is an element water and sodium chloride are compounds. The other materials are mixtures seawater and air are homogeneous table salt and wood are heterogeneous. Mayonnaise appears homogeneous to the naked eye, but under magnification shows itself as water droplets suspended in oil. 

For most of these latter compounds, the estimated dissociation constants in whole cell preparations were at least two orders of magnitude greater than the values obtained in brain homogenates (Table 2.6). In particular, the antidepressant drugs appear to be rather weak H2-receptor antagonists in intact cell systems and this result weakens the argument that these compounds derive their clinical efficacy from blockade of H2-receptors in mammalian brain. 

Assume that it is estimated that the repair probability will vary with time (non-homogeneous). Table G-1 shows a set of example repair time statistics. These statistics indicate that the repair time of a set of 64 repairs varied from one to six hours. Six units were repaired within one hour. Sixteen units were repaired within two hours. Other units took longer. Based on these numbers the average repair time is approximately 3 hours and the probability of repair in a particular hour is shown in Figure G-2. 

To examine differences between classes (TABLE 3), we determined that the slopes for all classes were homogeneous (TABLES). For classes with different intercepts (TABLE 3), regressions for individual classes would yield a more accurate predicted EC50 than the overall equation for all classes.
