Prepared from ethyne and ammonia or by dehydration of ethanamide. Widely used for dissolving inorganic and organic compounds, especially when a non-aqueous polar solvent of high dielectric constant is required, e.g. for ionic reactions. 

Molecular distillation is used in the separation and purification of vitamins and other natural products, and for the distillation of high-boiling synthetic organic compounds. 

Other than the obvious advantages of reduced fluorescence and high resolution, FT Raman is fast, safe and requires mmimal skill, making it a popular analytic tool for the characterization of organic compounds, polymers, inorganic materials and surfaces and has been employed in many biological applications [41].

Precautions for the higher aldehydes are essentially those for most other reactive organic compounds, and should include adequate ventilation in areas where high exposures are expected fire and explosion precautions and proper instmction of employees in use of respiratory, eye, and skin protection. 

Solution Polymerization. Solution polymerization is widely used ia the acryhc fiber iadustry. The reactioa is carried out ia a homogeaeous medium by usiag a solveat for the polymer. Suitable solveats can be highly polar organic compounds or inorganic aqueous salt solutions.
