PSS-SG composite film was tested for sorption of heme proteins hemoglobin (Hb) and myoglobin (Mb). The peroxidaze activity of adsorbed proteins were studied and evaluated by optical and voltammetric methods. Mb-PSS-SG film on PG electrode was shown to be perspective for detection of dissolved oxygen and hydrogen peroxide by voltammetry with linear calibration in the range 2-30 p.M, and detection limit -1.5 p.M. Obtained composite films can be modified by different types of biological active compounds which is important for the development of sensitive elements of biosensors. [Pg.306]

Dose reduction If a serious adverse reaction develops during the course of treatment (see Warnings, Precautions), discontinue or modify the dosage of peginterferon alfa-2b and/or ribavirin capsules until the adverse reaction abates or decreases in severity. Other substances in addition to the serum proteins that have presented adsorption problems are lysozyme, hemoglobin, pea proteins, phycoeryth-rin, ACTH, some basic materials prepared from tissues, egg white proteins, lactase, and milk proteins. In general, amino acids and small peptides do not present the adsorptive problems encountered with most proteins. The basic peptides of the posterior pituitary showed no detectable adsorption (44,74). Flodin and Tiselius (21) have modified the filter paper by altering the surface charge and this has aided in the elimination of adsorption in specific instances. Other methods, such as soaking the paper in a protein solution to saturate the adsorbing groups, have proved of some aid. It is probable that in the future a special paper will be developed for protein work which overcomes this obstacle.
