Several large applications for one-component moisture-cure urethane adhesives are available. Polymeric MDI is an exceptional binder for wood products, such as oriented strand board and particleboard. One-component urethane windshield adhesives are used almost exclusively in both the OEM and automotive aftermarket. One-part urethane adhesives are used to assemble the sidewalls for recreational vehicles (RV s), manufactured housing, and mobile homes. In construction applications, one-part urethanes are used to bond metal doors, hardwood flooring, panels, and partitions.

At home, a special room was arranged to give me a possibility for betterment and some recovery. In my survival room only metal and glass were used and there is a hardwood floor. New carpets, laminate, parquet, vinyl, and so on are not suitable for MCS patients, because the varnishes, glues, synthetic substances, formaldehyde and other chemical substances can cause severe problems. Gassing out these chemicals can take months if not years. It s therefore best to play it safe and go with materials that are less harmful, such as organically produced cotton. An untreated hardwood floor or other hard floor coverings, like stone, ceramic or porcelain tile, are also good options. Make sure you do not react to the specific wood by first testing a sample thoroughly ... 

Major uses for UV curing (room temperature) include use of flat stock-fillers in particle boards and hardwood flooring, and for high-gloss (no-wax) protective coatings for floor tiles, wood finishes, and other specialty uses. 

The dislodgeability of a pesticide residue may depend on the condition of the surface. For example, new carpets are typically more stain-resistant and have more uniform piles, and thus they may behave differently than soiled and worn carpets. The presence of excessive moisture levels in carpeting, as may be the case shortly after a wet cleaning operation, may also affect the dislodgeability of residues, possibly yielding higher than normal results. Wax on vinyl and hardwood floors may affect dislodgeability, as may pits, cracks and crevices in the surface.

Poor sound absorbers. Brick surfaces, painted concrete blocks, hardwood floors, gypsum board, or smooth nonporous plaster (lime or gypsum) are all poor absorbers. Construction plywood is primarily phenolic bonded for an exterior rating. Decorative plywood is primarily bonded with UF resins for interior applications such as wall panels and hardwood flooring tiles. Both types of plywood are composed of layers of veneer or wood with alternating grain orientations that are bonded with heat and pressure. 

The use of lead as a stabilizer in vinyl has been mentioned as a component in bounce houses. This is also the case for vinyl tile flooring (Main 2013). Lead dust can be released from vinyl tiles over time. Removal of vinyl tiles should be undertaken with lead-safe work practices or they can be covered with linoleum, cork, or hardwood floors.
