Hard copy figure printing

Once a test 1s complete, another menu option provides the data analysis results 1n the form of a hard-copy report printed on the local line printer. The report Includes experiment identification Information and the apparent viscosities calculated for each data set. A subset of the data analysis program 1s scheduled automatically by the control programs while the experiment is 1n progress and provides immediate on-line analysis of apparent viscosities for each data set as It 1s collected. The results are viewed using the real-time data display program (Figure 5). 

The basic structure of a colour negative film is the same as in a colour reversal film, with the relevant colour coupler incorporated into each layer. The difference between the two films is that after development the dye image, is complementary to the final colour required in the resultant hard copy print (see Figure 2.28).

The actions associated with the command buttons of this window are clear from the button labels. On completion of a calculation (Figure 1.13), a Print command button appears so that a hard copy of the result of any calculation can be made. 

In the display in Figure 1.26, as usual, a Print command button is available so that hard copies of the polynomial functions can be generated on your local printer. Depending on the screen size of your monitor, it may be necessary to use the Setup command button, in order to bring all of the basis functions into view using the Zoom, scroll and centring controls. 

The last type of hard copy output device isn t really a printer at all. Printers make images one line at a time and move from top to bottom during the printing process. Plotters, on the other hand, draw the image as we would, with a pen. One shape at a time. Plotters are most often used with CAD software to produce blueprints or technical diagrams. It would be quite expensive to make a printer that can print on paper as wide as these drawings require. Because a plotter uses a pen (or several pens in a holder) on a cable carrier, it is easy (and relatively inexpensive) to make a very wide plotter. A couple of typical plotters are shown in Figure 6.18. 

Revise, proofread, copy, send. The very ease of e-mail makes it tempting to send messages that may not be truly ready to go. All your professional correspondence should look just that professional. Take some time to revise for clarity and tone always proofread. Double-check figures and dates, and run the spell-checker if you have one. If time permits, print out a paper or hard copy of important messages to look over before you hit the Send... 

Upon completion of the automated calibration runs the raw and calculated data is displayed on the Computer Screen. The operator is afforded the opportunity to immediately view and approve the test results. The completed cahbration data is stored on a dskette and then used to generate hard copy print-outs and plots of cmves. (Figure 2)...
