Wash performance is crucial for the consumer. Stain removal, anti-graying, and color stability with no dye transfer are all important, as these are visible parameters that inform the next purchase choice. Less visible is scale inhibition to protect the machine. In order for the lining material to obtain maximum adhesion to the substrate surface, it is essential that the surface be absolutely clean. All steel surfaces to be lined must be abrasive blasted to a white metal in accordance with SSPC Specification SPS-63 or NACE Specification 1. A white metal blast is defined as removing all rust, scales, paints, and so on to a clean white metal that has a uniform gray-white appearance. No streaks or stains of rust or any other contaminants are permitted on the surface. At times a near-white blast cleaned surface equal to SSPC-SPIO may be used. Quality level of a product can be taken into account by performance of a product on different features or criteria. Selected features of quality for the textile products in the case study are color fastness, light and washing fastness, strength, and staining which are measured by different standards and criteria such as gray and blue scales which are numbered from l(low) to 5(high). Quality level of each product has been stated in level between 0 and 1. In practice, however, it may not be possible to select a precise value of each product in each criterion. In these cases, based on experts opinion, the number between 1 and 5 is assigned to each product. This ratio is calculated from summation or total performance of a product on all criteria.
