Gestational periods

The developmental changes seen in the immediate postnatal period in altricial rodents and especially in the early stages of marsupials, are an expected outcome of their shortened gestational period, early parturition and consequential dependent status. Regrettably, the relative contribution of the main and accessory chemosensory route(s) cannot be fully assessed. The lesser importance of the AOS (by some tests)... 

Therefore, higher degradation of EA under ultrasound was possible only after some gestation period of sonication, when sufficient active species were produced in the aqueous solution. 

No effect on female gestation period, number of litters or offspring, weight of offspring, or offspring development... 

Females are sacrificed after the middle of the gestation period. Males are sacrificed at any time after the end of the cohabitation period, but it is generally advisable to retain the males until after the outcome of the first mating is known, to ensure that a repeat cohabitation with untreated females will not be needed to... 

The standard urine immunoassay for detection of cocaine (23a) abuse during the gestation period of newborn babies was frequently found to yield negative results in cases where positive results were shown by extraction of meconium with a solvent, followed by HPLC. The drug and metabolites such as norcocaine (23b) and cocaethyline (23c) were detected140. See Section IV.C for an alternative analysis of cocaine. 

The tsetse flies are viviparous. The egg is retained and hatched in the body of the female fly, where it is nourished until full grown, then it is deposited on loose or sandy soil in a shaded place. The larva pupates within a few hours and after several weeks an adult fly emerges. The gestation period in the fly is about 10 days, and the flies may reproduce over a period of several months. Most of the species are limited to fly belts within their respective ranges. Shade and abundant ground cover characterize typical fly belts.

The five years since last considering specifically recent developments in X-ray and neutron diffraction methods for zeolites [1] have witnessed substantial progress. Some techniques, such as high resolution powder X-ray diffraction using synchrotron X-rays, have blossomed from earliest demonstrations of feasibility to widespread and productive application. Others, such as neutron powder diffraction, have shown steady progress. For still others, notably microcrystal diffraction, a variety of circumstances have contributed to extended gestation periods. Additionally, opportunities scarcely considered earlier (such as single crystal Laue diffraction, and certain developments in computer simulations that complement diffraction work) now command broad attention and warrant the commitment of substantial further investment.

Cervical dilator. Isaptent, prepared from granulated Plantago ovata seed husk, administered as a cervical dilator to 804 women between 15 and 45 years of age, achieved satisfactory dilatation in 94% of the cases. The cervical dilatation bore no relationship to age, parity, and gestation period of the subjects. There was no apparent damage to the cervix, and the vaginal flora remained unchanged in the randomly selected subjects .
