Framework linguistic

In the final section of this chapter, we shall attempt to give a brief rationalization of the regularities and peculiarities of the reactions of non-labile complexes which have been discussed in the previous sections. The theoretical framework in which the discussion will be conducted is that of molecular orbital theory (mot). The MOT is to be preferred to alternative approaches for it allows consideration of all of the semi-quantitative results of crystal field theory without sacrifice of interest in the bonding system in the complex. The fuzzy linguistic approach is an approximate technique which represents qualitative aspects as linguistic values by means of linguistic variables, that is, variables whose values are not numbers but words or sentences as in the case of a natural languages [24]. Its application is beneficial because it introduces a more flexible framework, which allows us a representation of tire information in a more direct and adequate way when we are unable to express it with numerical precision. In such a way, the burden of quantif3ung a qualitative concept is removed. 

There are many other disciplines such as linguistics, neurophysiology, philosophy, economics, history, political science and psychology that have developed rich theories that could explain many aspects of practice. The chapters of this book all serve as examples from research communities that can contribute to an engineering practice theoretical framework.
