Explanatory Note

The information contained in the sheets has been standardized so as to facilitate comparison of the relative hazards of different substances. The editorial policy followed is clarified in the Explanatory Notes below, where the terms, measurements and standard phrases used on the sheets are expanded upon. The layout of the Explanatory Notes is based on that of the sheets. [Pg.936]

For example, the GUI of a typical development might be documented only with storyboards and GUI mock-ups that are annotated with explanatory notes, with an optional mapping to the type model. In 1759 Count Vincenzo Masini (1689-1762) of Cesena, Italy, published a patriotic poem on sulfur, in which he described its extraction, purification, and uses. An effort has been made to give a complete bibliography for each CST (or LOST, etc.). However, only one temperature is usually listed, a mean selected by the compiler. A few badly discrepant observations are listed separately, sometimes with question marks and with explanatory notes. The page numbers are given in compilations (209, 210, 253-6, 296, 391-3, 445-6) and a few others to facilitate location of data. In a few citations to (210), the original reference (given there) is pmitted if difficultly accessible. Binary compositions at the CST are not listed because they are relatively unimportant, and because only a small portion of them are available. [Pg.8]
