Flowers for cutting

Lovely, cottagey flowers, good for cutting, often with a spicy fragrance. 

The family is South African some are cultivated for cut flowers. 

Representatives of the family are found in tropical North and South America, Australia, New Guinea, and South Africa. Some are cultivated for cut flowers. 

For cutting the leaf shape out of sugar paste, use a small, sharp knife to create leaves that are irregular—and more true to nature. If you use a cutter, look for an elongated-leaf cutter or a rosebud-leaf cutter. These shapes are not so plump and squat and tend to harmonize nicely with most flowers. 

Usually seen in shades of blue, hardy cornflowers, or bachelor s-buttons, are available in red, pink, white, and violet, too. These 12 -26" high garden favorites provide 1" flowers all spring. Seeds are favored by birds, particularly finches. Use in beds and borders or for cutting. 

Use Analytical chemistry (reagent for pentoses and with vanillin for determining the presence of free hydrogen chloride), decalcifying agent for bones, preparation of pharmaceuticals and dyes, resins, preservative for cut flowers, textile dyeing and printing. 

In the developed world, especially in North America, Western Europe, and Japan, we love to buy cut flowers for our homes, work places, as gifts or for special occasions. Over 50 million roses are given worldwide on Valentine s Day alone. Many of these cut flowers are transported long distances by air to reach the flower markets as swiftly as possible, and contribute to the problem of increased carbon dioxide emissions. 

Stage of growth 1 = heading completed, 2 = flowering, 3 = watery kernels, 4 = milky kernels, 5 = early mealy ripe, 6 = late mealy ripe, 7 = ripe for cutting. 

Zinc forms, usually 7 and, have the tetrahedral structure of four-coordination. Zinc is an indispensable element in organisms, and twenty or more kinds of enzymes contain zinc. A human being contains two to three grams of zinc [2—9]. Vulnerary. Elder is an effective remedy for relieving hemorrhoids when applied topically as a salve. Elder has been used to treat erysipelas, an acute inflammation caused by strep bacteria that erupts on the skin. Elder has also served humankind well in applications for bums, cuts and wounds. It can also be used as a sore throat gargle or for inflamed gums and mouth tissue. Parts used flowers, berries, leaves. 

I want it understood that the lawn is to be open there may be allowed a few outlying trees and shrubs and flowers, but the lawn is to be practically open, closely cut greensward, suitable for people to walk about on and children to play on without obstruction. If this end is not accomplished, I consider the lawn a failure.
