Flag sheet

Perform a last-minute check using the flag sheet. Look for any glaring inconsistencies.

If the process operating engineer has prepared correctly, the actual performance test will go smoothly. Hand every person who will participate in the test a copy of the written instructions and the flag sheet. As the data are assembled, enter them on the master flag sheet. When the unit seems pretty well lined out, have the pipefitter begin the pressure survey. Typically, this activity will take the longest to complete. 

Measure the furnace oxygen content both ahead of and downstream of the convective section. Record the temperatures and flows on the flag sheet. Note the operating position of flow control valves and liquid levels. If an exchanger or compressor bypass is open, record the valve position. Try to estimate the volume of products lost to slop or sewers. 

With all the information (except the lab data) assembled on a single flag sheet, perform a quick engineering analysis of the test. Are there any glaring inconsistencies in the pressure survey Does the total of the recorded product flows equal 150% of the feed rate Are the temperatures shown in violation of the laws of thermodynamics ... 

The best time to correct these errors is during the performance test— not two weeks later when the data are being analyzed. An example of a completed flag sheet is shown in Figure 27-1. 

Paper articles used in fireworks, such as figures, flags or parachutes, which are folded into a shell, must open perfectly in the air after the shell is burst. When wheat starch is used for pasting paper sheets, the pasted part is soft and flexible, and this allows the paper pieces to open well. This material is used for pasting shells also. 

Such printing is only allowed in the pharmaceutical industry if one common label is involved. Composite printing where different products or strengths are printed on a common sheet is not permissible due to admixture risks. Similarly, printing of reel-fed materials as jumbo reels would be reduced to a number of smaller reels. Reel joins should be minimised and normally flagged .

Visitors to Pole Station like to have their picture taken beside a barber pole topped by a silver globe surrounded by the flags of the Treaty Nations (Fig. 2.13). This pole is not at the precise location of the geographic South Pole because the East Antarctic ice sheet is sliding on its base which means that the true position of the South Pole must be redetermined annually.

The observed shear strength of PP is shown in Fig. 2 as a function of pressure. The circles show results obtained on the samples prepared from Hercules powder stock (type 1). Each point is an average of several measurements. Standard deviations calculated from the range of the data are shown by flags. The crosses represent results of a few individual measurements made on the Diamond Shamrock sheet stock (type 2). There is good agreement between the two types of samples. 

The classical platinum hydrogen electrode consists of a platinum wire connected with a platinum flag of 1 cm. In order to increase the effective surface finely divided platinum, so-called platinum black, is electrochemically precipitated on the platinum sheet. 

First, NCEES scans all answer sheets as they are received from the states. Answer sheets are flagged for review when they are missing critical information, such as one of sessions examinees worked or the candidate ID number. The scoring process continues only when these issues are resolved. 

Next, a psychometric analysis is performed on a sample population of answer sheets from each multiple-choice examination to identify any questions with unusual statistics, which flag the question for review.
