Silver rain for a turning sun or fire wheel meal powder 16 parts, saltpeter 1, sulfur 1, steel filings 5 parts. 

Hexafluorozirconic acid is used ia metal finishing and cleaning of metal surfaces, whereas the fluorozirconates are used in the manufacture of abrasive grinding wheels, in aluminum metallurgy, ceramics industry, glass manufacturing, in electrolytic cells, in the preparation of fluxes, and as a fire retardant (see Abrasives Metal surface treati nts). 

The end product is either cast as anodes for electrolytic refining or, rarely, as ingots for sale as fire-refined copper. A horizontal casting wheel with 12—32 horizontal molds is normally used for anode casing. Using continuous casting machines, the copper is cast as a continuous strip to be cut to the required anode shape (28). 

Flywheels are found in internal-combustion engines, where they damp out torque pulses caused by the periodic firing of cylinders. In this application, energy is stored veiy briefly before it is used— for less than one revolution of the wheel itself...

Machine Gun. Automatic weapons which fire small arms ammunition. They are heavier than automatic rifles and are usually provided with a fized mount, such as a tripod, or wheels and a trail. These sustain the force of recoil and provide the means by which the gun may be positioned in the direction of fire. Machine guns utilize the discharging gas, or mechanical recoil of the gun to load, eject the cartridge, lock and unlock the breech. They are fed from either a belt, clip or magazine, and are cooled by either... 

Conventional ceramics initially take shape on a potter s wheel or by slip casting and are fired (sintered) in kilns advanced ceramics are formed and sintered in more complex processes such as hot isostatic pressing.

Application of these chemicals in portable or wheeled extinguishers, hand-held hose line systems or fixed nozzle systems provides for quick fire knockdown and extinguishment. 

Wheeled fire extinguishers containing a 3% AFFF foam-water solution are intended for applying foam on small flammable-liquid spill fires where manpower is limited. They can be moved from one area to another and can be operated by one person. AFFF solution should be applied by means of a 1 in (2.5 cm) hard rubber hose, 15 ft (4.5 m) long, connected to the tank. 

Where no fire water main is provided, at least two 150 lb (68 kg) wheeled dry chemical extinguishers should be provided and located within 50 ft (15 m) of pump or manifold areas and easily reached along emergency access paths. 

A conductivity test should be conducted annually on all carbon dioxide hose assemblies. Hose assemblies found to be nonconductive should be replaced. Pressure regulators provided with wheel-typed fire extinguishers... 

The forces released when the tank car skin ruptured were quite impressive. Parts of the car were found 250-300 yards (228-274 meters) away from the skin. The wheels of the car were driven into the ground about 2 feet (61 cm) while the wheels were still on the rails. The skin of the car was essentially flattened, with the impressions of the two rails clearly seen through the skin. The sound of the explosion was heard about 10 miles away. The overhead 138,000-volt electrical lines were severed, and the arcs resulted in two small grass fires. Plants connected to these electrical lines were shut down. There was no fire from the polymerization. In addition to the car that was destroyed, nearby cars were also damaged. Foam-like polymer covered an area about 200 by 50 yards (182 by 46 meters). Because of the precautions we had taken, there were no injuries. 

Giant wheels of fire driven by gerbs are effected by binding the fireworks to the rim of rotating wooden frames. Alternatively, drivers can be sited at the ends of a pair of wooden arms, pivoting from a central... 

The rims of the wheels are fitted with eyelets to accept rockets whose sticks are supported by the lower wheel. These are matched to fire at intervals as the wheels revolve, while a battery of Roman candles fires from the centre of the top wheel. Both wheels are fitted with gerbs and drivers to effect rotation, the complete device being appropriately matched such that the overall effect includes two revolving circles of fire, each throwing out glittering arrays of sparks, while candle stars emanate from the centre and rockets fly off vertically.
