Fire types

Discrimination between fire types in samples of airborne dust on filters using microscopy... [Pg.359]

Liquid injection incinerators are currently the most commonly used type of incinerator for hazardous waste disposal. A wide variety of units are marketed today, mainly horizontally and vertically fired types a less common unit is the tangentially fired vortex combustor. [Pg.154]

These detectors have a very high sensitivity and very encouraging stability. The microprocessor has the capability to be programmed to recognize certain fire types. [Pg.182]

Jet fire— A fire type resulting from fires from pressurized release of gas and/or liquid. [Pg.443]

Spigot Type Grenade Launcher consisted of a rifled barrel threaded to an adapter. It was attached to either the 6.5-mm or 7.7-mm Rifle at the rear of the front sight. It was used to fire Type 91, Type 3 HE, and several types of Smoke and Incendiary Grenades (pp 179—80 with 3 Figs)... [Pg.480]

Startup heaters - electrical or direct-fired types - are used to heat synthesis gas for the converter dining startup. Some of the problems encountered with these heaters are hydrogen-induced tracks, overheating and flame impingement, thinning at bends, and furnace explosions. Normally, SS321 is used for startup heater coils and the downstream pipeline88. [Pg.197]

The fire toxicity of each material has been measured under different fire conditions. The influence of polymer nanocomposite formation and fire retardants on the yields of toxic products from fire is studied using the ISO 19700 steady-state tube furnace, and it is found that under early stages of burning more carbon monoxide may be formed in the presence of nanofillers and fire retardants, but under the more toxic under-ventilated conditions, less toxic products are formed. Carbon monoxide yields were measured, together with HCN, nitric acid (NO), and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) yields for PA6 materials, for a series of characteristic fire types from well-ventilated to large vitiated. The yields are all expressed on a mass loss basis. [Pg.523]

Shell catch. It can happen that a shell catches the wall of the mortar, when it is loaded. The diameter of the shell may be too large, the sweeping of the mortar may be incomplete, the shell with a handle may be loaded n an inclined position, or the fitting of a Kyokudo to the shell may be incorrect. In ordinary shooting, poke the shell down carefully with a wooden stick. If it does not fall to the bottom, pick out the shell by placing the mortar upside down. If it is a quick firing type, pour a bucket of water into the mortar to cool the hot metal placed in the bottom of the mortar and leave the mortar to stand for a while. After making sure that it is safe, the shell can be taken out of the mortar. [Pg.312]

See that there is plenty of air and fuel to feed the fire, type materials. If it is not available already mixed, it can be prepared as... [Pg.319]

I could almost see the pitta energy crackling in Larry s tense muscles and flushed skin. When he told me he was suffering from hemorrhoids and high blood pressure, I identified these as further symptoms of a Fire-type imbalance. [Pg.149]

Your Brain-Healthy Pitta Diet How Fire Types Need to Eat... [Pg.153]

Eat regularly but moderately. Don t skip meals, and avoid overeating. Fire types have a strong appetite and digestion, but if you eat too much, especially hot and spicy foods, you ll risk imbalance. Think about what causes acid indigestion—pressure, anxiety, spicy foods, and greasy foods. These are all factors that Fire types have to avoid. [Pg.153]

Drink plenty of liquids, especially in summer or when you re engaged in vigorous activity. Favor cold and refreshing drinks. Apple, grape, and orange juice are all good for Fire types. So is tonic water, which tastes a little bitter. Try tonic water and lime in the summer or before meals to cool your fires. [Pg.154]

I recommended that Larry find a sport or activity he liked and engage in it at least four or five times a week. I warned him, though, that he should choose a moderate-intensity exercise, preferably one that didn t involve too much competition. Overdoing it by pushing too hard or getting caught up in heated competition are the typical downfalls of Fire types. [Pg.154]

Your Brain-Healthy Pitta Exercise Plan Activities for Fire Types... [Pg.155]

Favor a repetitive activity, such as a moderate walk, a light run, or a swim, which has the added advantage of cooling the body. Fire types also do well with winter sports, including all forms of skiing or skating. [Pg.155]
