Winter sports

Winter sports represent a significant share of the sports and leisure market where the majority of commodity and engineering thermoplastics are used. 

In Alpine areas, where forests had been an indispensable protection against avalanches, villages will have to be evacuated, roads to be closed in winter time which surely will reduce or prevent winter sport. 

The graceful winter sports of skiing, skating and dog-sledding get a lot of attention around Alaska, but there s another winter activity that nobody seems to appreciate for the art that it actually is—ditch diving. We all become practitioners of this art at one time or another, but none of us seems to hold proper appreciation of what we re doing, perhaps because its aesthetics have never been fully defined for us.
