The type of Petri net model used in this research is Place Weighted Petri net. Places represent equipment, transitions show starting and finishing of operations and tokens are raw material, semi-finished and finished products. The weights on places indicate Safety-Cost Ratios for equipment. 

The input of pesticides in an indoor environment may result from either a direct appUcation (fighting, e.g., insects hke flies, mosquitoes, and fleas) or pesticides used in the preservation of wood and timber, pesticides of textile finishing, and finishing of leather, carpets, fabric, etc., pesticides (mainly fimgicides) in varnishes, colors, adhesives, or pesticides brought in by foot traffic, through pets, etc. from outdoors. Pesticides then spread in indoor air and in house dust... 

The evaluation of the results obtained constitutes the cardinal element of validation, once the conditions of manufacture and quality control of the semi-finished and finished products are mastered and that the safety and efficacy of the process are guaranteed. 

The same principles as for the raw materials are retained for sampling the semi-finished and finished products samples intended for control must be representative as possible of the entire manufactured batch.

Titanium alloys may be processed like stainless steel. This leads to a cost effective production of a wide range of semi-finished and finished products and parts. If the tendency to oxidation and welding above approximately 350 °C and the low thermal conductivity are taken into account, parts can be manufactured fromTi alloys, quite similar to manufacturing from stainless steels. A wide variety of working, joining, and coating processes is well established. 

This is particularly significant for safety purposes and chiefly pertains to food supply chains. Therefore, the EU introduced the requirement to label and trace the origin of foodstuffs (substances, semi-finished and finished products) and feed as of 1 January 2005. This obligation is specified in regulation (EC) No. 178/2002 of the Emopean Parliament and of the Council of 28 January 2002.

Equations 3.9 and 3.10 show the inbound and outbound shipment costs, respectively, that are included in the objective function, based on the transportation costs determined for each arc of the network. The outbound shipments are associated with the transportation of semi-finished and finished products directly to customers, regardless of the origin facility type, and the inbound shipments correspond to the inter-plant transactions among production and distribution facilities.
