Feasibility Stage report

Road Safety Audit be carried out for the developer with the Road Safety Audit report being checked by in-house staff At least one local highway authority has adopted the method described in the HA standard, and appoints a development control officer to act as the client from the Feasibility Stage to the adoption of the highway. The appointed person controls the road safety process, and liaises with the developer and the Road Safety Audit team. 

Applications. The general feasibility of CE to separate immunocomplex from unbound reagent was first demonstrated by Grossman et al. [4] and Nielsen et al. The progress of studies on vegetative propagation have been reported with encouraging results (9-11). Rehnements of the current state of the art to improve the number of survivors from the callus stage to seedlings planted in the helds is needed to make tissue culmre of coconut palms a feasible method to merit commercial application. 

Also in the case of the TBP process, only simulated HAW solutions have been until now used to study the process feasibility. Results have already been reported (9), which indicated that separation yields of about 99.9% can be obtained for Am after three successive extraction stages operating with a concentrated HAW solution adjusted to 0.1 — 0.2 M HN03, 0.65 M AI(N03)3 and 1.3 M NaN03. The back-extraction of all the actinides and RE from loaded TBP (30% in n-dodecane) was carried out by means of Na5 DTPA-glycolic acid solution which can be then used directly to separate Am and Cm from RE according to the Talspeak process (15). 

I.O.N.S. has been assigned to participate in a project sponsored by the Water Group of America (WGA) to help develop a new method for the quantitative analysis for sulfate in water samples. A procedure has already been proposed for this method and the WGA is conducting the initial investigation as to its feasibility. It is a round robin project in which a number of different laboratories simply check out the procedure and report back. The project is at a very early stage and they are not concerned as yet about the details (such as interferences). In fact, we have not been asked to test real water samples. They want us to take water that has a known amount of sulfate in it and see how well the procedure works — if it gives the correct answer. 

Isotopes separated. Table 14.24 gives examples of some of the highest reported concentrations of separated isotopes that have been obtained by thermal diffusion. Most of these separations were on a small laboratory scale. The high purity to which scarce isotopes such as C, N, and 0 have been concentrated is a notable feature of these examples of thermal diffusion. The feasibility of concentrating rare isotopes of intermediate mass, such as Ne and A, by thermal diffusion is also noteworthy. These separations are facilitated by the large number of stages obtainable from a single thermal diffusion column.
