Evidence investigation priorities

The selected team initially established a specific plan of investigation procedures for this occurrence. This strategy session listed priorities and necessary actions to ensure that all required information was obtained in a prompt manner. Needless delays in evidence collection were avoided by the use of this plan which helped to accelerate the rebuilding/restarting of the catalyst preparation area. 

Although preserving evidence is not the firefighter s main priority, certain steps can be taken, while fighting a fire, to maintain site integrity and maximize the efforts of investigators. 

There is abundant evidence from culture studies that both AOB and NOB are photosensitive. It is a high priority to investigate the photosensitivity of AOA. Even if aU nitrifiers exhibit photoinhibiton in some form, however, the direct and indirect ecological imphcations of this physiology for the rates and distributions of nitrification in the environment are not easily predicted. Dissolved organic matter in seawater, as well as turbidity due to sediments or phytoplankton, might aU provide photoprotection in surface waters, and regulation of nitrification by other factors discussed in this section may be much more important in many environments. 

The objectives achieved by the industrial application of automated solutions are shown in Figure 10. The investigation gave evidence that the cost-reduction objective, followed by quality improvement, was considered the first priority. 

If combined with low human exposure, they should enjoy an extremely low priority for investigation. The criteria for adequate evidence of safety would also be minimal. Greater exposures would require proportionately higher priority for more exhaustive study... 

As in the case of dust emissions (Section 3.4), some localized containment of fume may be effected by exhaust ventilation (LEV), although for vapours the control achieved is by dilution (Section 4). Additionally for vapours there is the problem of knowing where to implement controls when there is no visual evidence of emission. The insight gained by studies of emission processes remains fundamental to the practical and effective control of volatile pollutants by any means. Investigations into the quality and quantity of post-vulcanization vapours occupy one priority area of current research effort. 

The belief that physical, chemical, biological, and mental processes have common features has been an inspiring factor for this investigation. One of these common principles is the search for some elements and the selection of one. This is a Darwinian process within the mind which has unique properties its search and selection processes do not need millions of years but occur within milliseconds. The existence of such fast Darwinian processes during reaction tasks was the great surprise of this investigation. To prove the existence of these material processes by gathering empirical evidence had the first priority for this work. 

Keep in mind that these priorities are of a higher importance than the accident investigation itself While preserving the evidence at the accident scene is important, it should never become more important than helping others in need or more important than protecting company property from further damage.
