Equipment cleaning rinsing

Conserve water. Reuse rinse waters if possible. Reduce equipment-cleaning frequency where beneficial in reducing net waste generation. [Pg.318]

Water represents one of the most important raw materials used in biopharmaceutical manufacture. It is used as a basic ingredient of fermentation media, and in the manufacture of buffers used throughout product extraction and purification. It represents the solvent in which biopharmaceutical products sold in liquid form are dissolved, and in which freeze-dried biopharmaceuticals will be reconstituted immediately prior to use. It is also used for ancillary processes, such as the cleaning of equipment, piping and product-holding tanks. It is additionally used to clean/rinse the vials into which the final product is filled. [Pg.104]

Samples of the vessel rinses are collected in 500-ml volumetric flasks after final rinsing of the vessels with purified water as described in the individual equipment cleaning SOP. [Pg.1047]

This is a preservative-free formula shelf-life stability is achieved by maintaining pH of the suspension above 9.00 through the addition of magnesium hydroxide. Absence of preservatives makes it a more palatable formula but requires extra care in the manufacturing process. Rigidly control the microbial specification of all ingredients. Thoroughly clean all equipment and rinse with 1% sodium hypochlorite solution before use. Finally, rinse with purified water. [Pg.96]

Be sure to clean all equipment and rinse it with distilled water before continuing with the next procedure. [Pg.812]

Chemical cleaning sequences are often contained in conveyorized spray equipment with rinsing between each step. Batch processing in a tank system is also used, with a hoist for basket movement between solutions. Uniformity of the etching of panels within a basket must be measured, but is generally quite good and reproducible as long as the immersion time is short and the bath s chemical composition is consistent. [Pg.595]

Acetone can be handled safely if common sense precautions are taken. It should be used in a weU-ventilated area, and because of its low flash point, ignition sources should be absent. Flame will travel from an ignition source along vapor flows on floors or bench tops to the point of use. Sinks should be rinsed with water while acetone is being used to clean glassware, to prevent the accumulation of vapors. If prolonged or repeated skin contact with acetone could occur, impermeable protective equipment such as gloves and aprons should be worn. [Pg.98]
