Enterprise Sourcing software

Mil and 20 major Chinese enterprises and organizations -including the China Software Industry Association, the China Information Industry Trade Association, Co-Create Open Source Software Co., Ltd. and Red Flag Software Co., Ltd., etc. - have established the China Open Source Software Promotion Union (COPU) to rationalize the development of open source software in China and promote cooperation in this effort in all of Northeast Asia. 

This list includes all kinds of development work. We have already discussed model frameworks and template packages, which can be valuable to an enterprise. They are white-box assets What you see is what is they offer. By contrast, an executable piece of software, delivered without source code, can perform a useful and well-defined function and yet not be open to internal inspection. Software vendors prefer such black-box components. 

The TurboWorx Builder is the graphical environment where a user can create new components that wrap existing commercial, open-source, or proprietary software tools. A user can create a workflow from new or preexisting components and execute it on the TurboWorx Enterprise runtime environment (see next), monitor progress, and view results. 

The problem facing the enterprise as whole is that the proliferation of distributed systems may result in different database management systems. The use of so-called relational models and the structure query language (SQL) for data access and retrieval will simplify the interface problems. If the proper software is used, these distributed databases will appear as if they were a single information source. A user will be able to get the information he or she needs without having to know where the data are stored. Furthermore, such software will run under different types of network protocol, media, and operating systems.
