Turret drilling machines provide a number of tools mounted in a turret designed to handle a sequence of operations. The turret drilling machine is also available as a computer numerically controlled machine. 

Tungsten carbides are used in cutting and forming tools, for example, in rock drills and machine tools. 

Use Machine tools and abrasives for machining and grinding metals, rocks, molded products, porcelain, and glass in gauges, blast nozzles, knives, drill bits. 

Hand-held equipments are usually light-weight tools such as drilling machines, sanding machines etc., that are held in one or both hands. 

The main disadvantages of this process are the higher machining time compared to a conventional drilling process as well as the complicated feed path (Brinksmeier et al. 2008). To cope with the complicated tool path, special machine tool systems have been developed, for example, by the company Novator. These systems can be applied in conventional machine tools or used manually. 

Machines in the most simple of forms utilizing the basic fundamentals of modem machine tools have been existing for many thousands of years. Examples are bow drills and potter s wheels found in ancient Eg3 pt and pole lathes from before the industrial revolution. Modem concepts of a machine tool began to emerge around the sixteenth century when screw-cutting lathes were developed. Various advancements such as metal frames, more accurate pitch control, and more sophisticated power sources all contributed to the steady advancement of machining ease and improved quality (Rolt 1965) (Fig. 1). 

Various cutting tools besides twist drills are used on a drilling machine, and some of them are described below.
