Drain gratings

Vehicle accident (outside HCF) Vehicle el tank contents miscellaneous vehicle combustibles No threat to Building 6580. The drain grating would catch combustible liquids draining down the truck ramp to HCF. 

Hot-dip galvanised steel components are used in sewer technology as drain gratings, covers and as dirt pans for balconies, roofs, and cellars in road and estate drainage. It is also used as buckets for drains in roads [40]. A zinc layer of at least 400 g/m is required for these components [41]. 

No gas detector should be located where it would be constantly affected by ambient conditions such as surface drainage runoff, sand, ice, or snow accumulation. Special consideration should be given near open sewer grates and oily water drain funnels were frequent alarms may appear due to vapor emissions. 

Prepare pasta by boiling until al dente drain. Combine pasta, pesto, papaya, and cranberries. Divide among four pasta bowls. Sprinkle with basil and grated cheese, and serve. 

For good housekeeping, all equipment should be on or above the floor and no pits should be used. On the other hand, grated trenches make it easy to clean the floors, and minimize the number of floor drains. 

The room must be hquid-tight where the floor meets the walls. Spilled Uquids are to be prevented fium running into adjacent rooms by one of three methods (a) at least a 4-inch (10.16 cm) high sill or ramp at the opening (b) the floors can be recessed at least 4 inches or (c) an open-grated trench can be cut in the floor within the room which drains to a safe location. 

The floor shall be water proof cement concrete/with acid resistant tiles and anti-skid grating. There shall be slope towards storm water drains. Sufficient ventilation, lighting (use translucent roof sheets) and exhaust system shall be available.

Sulfur plant catalyst is supported by thin flexible screens. These screens are lapped and folded over to keep catalyst from leaking through the support grating. Improper installation of screens occurs frequently when catalyst is changed. The catalyst may wash down into a seal leg and plug it. When you find normal sized catalyst balls in the condenser drains, you can count on a shutdown to repair the support screens. Don t forget to seal the screens to the walls of the reactor. On one unit, small but intact catalyst balls were found in the seal legs. This indicates poor quality control in the manufacture of the catalyst.
