Production of higher olefins from lower and higher linear alpha olefins via isomerization and disproportionation (I/D). This is the detergent olefin production part of the SHOP unit. [Pg.163]

The olefin product contains 1.1% of residual / -paraffins. Essentially similar results have been obtained in commercial operations on Cg—C q and C g feedstocks. The principal use of the alkylation process is the production of high octane aviation and motor gasoline blending stocks by the chemical addition of C2, C3, C4, or C5 olefins or mixtures of these olefins to an iso-paraffin, usually isobutane.
