Use a soft toodibrush and consult a dentist regarding routine oral hygiene, including die use of dental floss. Use an electric razor when possible to avoid small skin cuts. 

Thrombocytopenia is characterized by a decrease in the platelet count (<100,000/mm3). The nurse monitors patients with thrombocytopenia for bleeding tendencies and takes precautions to prevent bleeding. Injections are avoided but, if necessary, the nurse applies pressure to the injection site for 3 to 5 minutes to prevent bleeding into the tissue and the formation of a hematoma The nurse informs the patient to avoid the use of electric razors, nail trimmers, dental floss, firm... 

Teflon is a carbon-based molecule with lots of fluorine. Might flossing with Teflon-coated dental floss be a good way of introducing additional fluoride to your teeth ... 

Slick dental flosses are often coated with a type of Teflon called PTFE (poly-tetrafluoroethylene). Plain, unwaxed varieties are your best bets.

Surveys find fhaf only 25 /o of the population questioned use dental floss regularly. Flossing is essential...

But the power of persuasion is alive and well in the United States. Thanks to advertising, American dentists (and their patients) are sold on the combination of the toothbrush, toothpaste, and dental floss. In Finland it s the toothbrush in combination with toothpicks. (Some people have been so over sold on the virtues of tooth-brushing that dentists now have a new industry replacing the enamel on teeth that has been worn away from excessive brushing.) The water pick was much in vogue... 

Final Note It is not possible for a toothbrush, a toothpick, dental floss, or a combination of all three, to remove microscopic particles of food from all of your teeth interfaces and from under your gums. That s why I never believed "oral hygiene" had much to do with preventing tooth decay. 

Microbial plaque is the primary cause of both deutal caries and periodontal disease [134,135]. In principle, most plaque can be ranoved using appropriate oral hygiene devices, such as toothbrushes aud dental floss, but in practice many patients lack both the skill and the motivation to maintain a reliable plaque-free state [136]. For this reason, professional dental prophylaxis has an important part to play in helping maintain sound oral health in individuals. The primary function of such prophylaxis is ranoval of plaque, stain and calculus [137] and elimination of the factors that cause plaque to build up and be retained [138]. This may be augmented by the topical application of fluoride in an appropriate form.

Of these groups, pre-treated carpeting and carpeting treated with carpet-care solution had the highest PFOA loadings 0.2-0.6 and 0.2-2 mg of PFOA per kg of article, respectively. Studies by other researchers reported PFOA content in nonstick cookware, food contact paper, thread sealant tape and dental floss. Data for other PFCAs in commercial products are rather scarce. One study by Sinclair et al. reported the C5 to C12 PFCA content in three brands of popcorn packaging paper.

Dental Took. Many common dental tools are available for home use as part of a daily oral care routine. The most basic of dental tools is the toothbrush. Toothbrushes come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and stiffness. Patient age and oral condition determine the best toothbrush for each individual. Toothbrushes usually consist of a plastic handle with nylon brisdes that remove food, bacteria, and plaque that can lead to tartar and dental caries. Toothpaste is usually added to a toothbrush to aid in cleaning the teeth and freshening the mouth. Toothpaste is available in a variety of flavors and compositions and may contain polishing or bleaching agents. Dental floss is another basic tool used to remove food and debris from between the teeth. Floss is available in waxed and unwaxed formulations and in a variety of widths and thicknesses. Mouthwash is a rinse that prevents gum disease. Mouthwash is available in many flavors, but all types reduce the number of germs in the mouth that cause gingivitis. 

Properties of injection-molded parts can be unique. Given a metal or plastic s typical properties, injection molding imparts some of its own. Because of flow patterns, molecular orientation, and other factors, molded part properties are often different than those of the base material. An example of the benefits of orientation is the living hinge , the flexible plastic hinge foimd on spice, shampoo, and dental floss containers. Properties of injection-molded parts can be flexible or stiff, soft or hard, tough or brittle, clear or opaque, specific chemically resistant and flame retardant. Parts can be tinted, colored, plated with varions metals, and recycled.
