Demand types

This gives rise to 48 cases, all of the NED (Normal Electron Demand) type (i.e. where the diene is the electron donor and the dienophile is the electron acceptor), which was checked by inspecting the HOMO and LUMO energies of the sytems. [Pg.323]

Transmitters are used to record different physical quantities, e.g. temperature, presssure, flow, level, pH value and so on. The mechanical design corresponds to requirements at the place of duty. Due to the small power demand, type of protection intrinsic safety - i is an obvious choice in the field of explosion protection in most cases. [Pg.370]

For the cycloadditions two effects should be considered, namely the steric and the electronic influence of the substituent on the Diels-Alder reaction [55]. The cycloaddition already discussed belongs to the normal electron-demand type, for which the overlap of the LUMO of the dienophile and the HOMO of the diene dominates. Whereas steric hindrance obviously increases both in the diene and the dienophile when going from methyl to ethyl, i-propyl and t-butyl substituents, the... [Pg.263]

Combination Type C supplied-air respirator [see below], demand type, with half facepiece, and auxiliary self-contained air supply (2) Type C supplied-air respirator [see below], demand type, with half facepiece or (3) Any chemical cartridge respirator with an organic vapor cartridge which provides a service life of at least 1 hour for concentrations of vinyl chloride up to 10 ppm. [Pg.360]

Preview In the next issue of Backwoods Home Magazine, we will look more closely at the variety of tanks that may be used in a water system, the ratings and installation of pnmps, water system accessories, and examples of both the demand type and store type water systems. [Pg.20]

In a highly competitive environment, production methods must be sufficiently flexible to respond to changing market demands, types of products, production rates, and production quantities and to provide on-time dehvery to the customer. [Pg.829]

One of the issues is the lack of analytics. An order is not an order. Orders vary by demand type (e.g., replenishment or turn orders, orders to satisfy the needs of a promotion, orders to satisfy the needs of market demand for a new product launch, etc.). The cost of an order can vary based on cumulative net profit. However, in a supply chain today, there is no visibility to make these differences actionable. A typical company has a profile such as the one shown in Figure 5.2. [Pg.203]

There are two basic designs, one in which the supply of air is from a source outside the contaminated area, while in the other, the wearer of the respirator unit carries the air supply in a tank. There are also subdivisions within these two majortypes. A majorsubdivision, common to both, is whether the units operate as demand or pressure demand units. For the former, the demand valve permits the flow of air only during inhalation, and a negative pressure exists at that time within the facepiece, which may allow inward leakage from the contaminated atmosphere. The pressure-demand type maintains a positive pressure within the facepiece at all times and is unlikely to allow leakage of outside air into the respirator Pressure demand units are much more desirable and should be used in most applications. Demand units are not approved for IDLH atmospheres. [Pg.721]

For applications that do not require a mass flow pattern the only condition is that the contents will eventually self-clear to be moved away by the screw. This less demanding type of flow pattern allows flared feeder casings to be designed on drained repose angles of the product. [Pg.118]

In a drop-on-demand inkjet printer, the fluid is maintained at ambient pressure, and a transducer is used to create a drop only when needed. The transducer creates a volumetric change in the fluid which creates pressure waves. The pressure waves travel to an orifice and are converted to fluid velocity, which results in a drop being ejected from the orifice. Figure 8 shows a schematic of a drop-(Mi-demand-type inkjet system which can generate 60 pm diameter drops of butyl carbitol (an organic solvent) from a device with a 50 pm orifice at 4,000 drops per second. [Pg.1076]

There are two types of mask in general use—constant-flow and demand-supply. Tight-fitting constant-flow masks require about 7 Nm hr of air. The loose-fitting type requires about 50% more. Demand-type masks require up to 3Nm hr . Ventilated suits will consume 25-50 Nm hr . [Pg.1200]

Energy demand models analysis addresses either specific end-use demand type or sectoral energy end-use demand, for example, demand in industrial sector or transportation sector. The demand models help to assess the potential to reduce demand or help to reduce the cost of energy supply to meet the demand. [Pg.202]
