While operating 7000 hr one will be able to process 7000/0.72, or 9722 batches/year. Each batch will then contain 2 x 106/0.97(9722), or 212 lb. The necessary reactor volume will then be 28 gal. Under these circumstances the times necessary to perform the nonreactive operations would undoubtedly be somewhat reduced. One should recognize that these steps will be the bottlenecks in this operation. The required reactor size is definitely on the small side, and it would be preferable to operate in a larger reactor and process a smaller number of batches per year with attendant reductions in labor requirements.

It was a hue shock to Astrid and myself when we learned last Sunday night that Hitoshi has passed away. This is a tremendous loss for our whole community. We all definitely lost a veiy dear friend. Of conrse, Astrid and I have immediately written to his wife Ei... and as you say, at this time we can only pray for his sonl. 

The physical processes by which natural gas liquids are recovered include phase separation, cooling, compression, absorption, adsorption, refrigeration, and any combination of these. Obviously the definition already stated excludes refinery light volatiles produced by the destructive decomposition of heavy petroleum fractions and it also excludes liquids that may be produced synthetically from natural gas. These distinctions are of economic importance in considering our basic energy reserves. Both the refinery volatiles and the synthetic liquids represent conversion products from other hydrocarbons and the conversion is usually attended by a considerable loss. Moreover, Lamettrie, who attended Boerhaave s lectures, stated that his teacher was a materialist and that personne ne fut moins Spino-siste. Boerhaave cannot possibly have agreed with Spinoza since Spinoza s definition of God and His creation differed considerably from the views preached in the Calvinist church. The general opinion in those circles was that Spinoza, the bearer of the myth of atheism, had to be expelled. It is in this area that the opinions of Boerhaave and Spinoza differed considerably. 

It is written in his nearly impossible style he invented his own language for many of the standard items in the subject, such as detors , which are determinants of orthonormal orbitals . He introduces Definitions and gives Theorems, an approach which was not attractive to the students who attended his Mathematics Part III course The Quantum Theory of Molecules in Cambridge.
