De-airing

DE Air Quality Mgmt Sect. 1998. State of Delaware, Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control. Del. Code Ann. Tit. 60, Regulation No. 3. [Pg.181]

A few fireclay refractories are produced by the stiff-mud process using an auger machine that pugs, de-airs, and continuously extrudes a day column. A wire cutter cuts the day into blanks which are then sized, shaped, and branded by a repress machine. [Pg.31]

Lactams 22 and 23 were also expected to epimerize, since prior results (see below) suggested that Mechanism 3 is active in the epimerization reaction of these compounds. Compounds 22 and 23 epimerized in de-aired TFA resulting in an equilibrium ratio of 65 35 (23 22). Winterfeldt and co-workers [23] have reported epimerization of similar compounds under acidic conditions. [Pg.11]

The raw materials are blended with water to form a slip from which most of the water is removed by filter-pressing. The body is then homogenized and de-aired in a vacuum extrusion pug-mill . The extruded blanks may be further... [Pg.270]

AIRE (Air) Aire de animales (animal s air), golpe de aire (air hit), azote de aire de muerto (dead s air whip), mal de aire (air disease), aire de agua (water air), aire de basura (garbage air). Unspecific (29.32%) Assumed to be the action of some harmful external entity not always physic (air), which penetrates or sticks to some body part. Usually associated with skin, respiratory or muscle-skeletal problems. [Pg.290]

The silicon wafers were placed above a previously de-aired solution consisting of a mixture of 100 pL organosilane and 3 mb paraffin. The vapor-phase deposition of the molecular film on the substrate was performed in a vacuum chamber (50 min at 5 x 10 Torr) at room temperature. [Pg.37]

In his Types of extrusion units , Willy Bender investigates all the various kinds of extruders and combined de-airing extrusion machines. [Pg.6]

A gigantic combined de-airing extmsion machine with a barrel diameter as wide as 850 mm and the capacity for putting out 12 columns of brick at once has little in common with a tiny, 20 mm-diameter micro-extmder. Or, compare a vertical extmder for clay pipes with diameters up to 1.50 m with an intermittent-action piston extmder that can work vertically as well as horizontally. Or how about a twin-screw extruder or piston extmder sporting extmsion pressures up to 400 bar in contrast with a huge vacuum extmder for forming electrical porcelain slugs at relatively low pressure ... [Pg.10]

Fine ceramic industry. Only seldom are extruders used in fine ceramics for the direct shaping process this is, for instance, in the case of extruded wall and floor tiles. Extruders are more frequently employed for the purposes of homogenizing, de-airing, or for the extrusion of slugs for subsequent shaping, such as in the pressing of flower pots, or the roller shaping method employed in the tableware industry. [Pg.64]

Hinged-type extruders. This type of special de-airing extruder developed for use in the advanced ceramic industry is fitted with an extrusion barrel which can be adjusted from a vertical to horizontal position (9CM) ), and is employed for the extrusion of non-plastic special bodies and oxide ceramics (Fig. 2). [Pg.68]
