Cooling production methods

A number of maltodextrin production methods using multiple enzyme treatments have been described.1213 In one such process, a starch paste is first treated with acid and/or an alpha-amylase at 95-105°C for liquefication, then cooled to 90-102°C, at which time addition of a second enzyme takes place. If desired, the slurry may be further cooled to 85°C for addition of a third enzyme.14... 

Use of juice concentrate, 40°-60° Brix, is the least common method of sweetening the wines. The quality of the concentrate, and its effect on the wine, is improved if production methods minimize heat damage and the concentrate is stored subsequently at cool temperatures until use. 

In the first papers published in 1988, the detonation of explosives was carried out in inert gases, such as CO2 and nitrogen, used as the protective atmosphere and cooling agent. The yield was ratlier low and tire production method was ratiier complex and not suitable for mass production. Since then, much attention has been paid to improvement of the preparation method. 

Sweet Yeast Goods. Sweet roll and coffee cake production is likewise directly analogous to bread-production methods. Chief differences are in makeup equipment used to produce the specific shapes and sizes of units. Also, following baking and cooling, sweet goods are "finished," ie, iced and/or filled prior to packaging. 

Thermally-induced phase separation has been applied to the production of polysilane foams. Variation of polymer concentration, solvent type, and cooling rate have been used to refine the macrostructure. Both these membrane production methods rely on the formation of aggregates of controlled size and shape as discussed in the previous section. 

One of the most attractive features of this plasma production method is that the beams create both the plasma and its confining magnetic fields without the need for external magnet coils (except for the small coils that make the field in the diodes). The efficiency of conversion of beam energy to magnetic field energy is between 50% and 67% [25]. The plasma in the present experiments is quite cool (A 10eV)...
