The tools for in silico toxicology are broadly applied in the drug development process. The particular use of the tools is clearly context-dependent, which includes the quality of the prediction and the applicability domain of the model. 

Labels are distinguished based on whether they are context dependent or context-free. Context-dependent labels require simultaneous consideration of time records from more than one process variable context-free labels do not. Thus, generating context-free trend, landmark, and fault descriptions is considerably more simple than generating context-dependent descriptions. Context-free situations can take advantage of numerous methods for common, yet useful, interpretations. Context-dependent situations often lead to a large-scale input dimension. Because the required number of training examples increases with the number of measured variables or features, reducing the input dimensionality may improve system performance. The reduction in dimensionality can be most readily achieved by eliminating redundancy in the data so that only the most relevant features are used for mapping to a given set of labels.

All biological functions in an organism are interdependent and internally regulated and since their occurrence is context-dependent, they cannot be understood in isolation. Discussions about the PA usually focus on definitions. In Bohmian mechanics, the way the full problem is tackled in order to obtain operational formulas can determine dramatically the final solution due to the context-dependence of this theory. More specifically, developing a Bohmian description within the many-body framework and then focusing on a particle is not equivalent to directly starting from the reduced density matrix or from the one-particle TD-DFT equation.
