Components passing tests

Interface testing Testing conducted to evaluate whether or not systems or components pass data and control correctly to one another. [Pg.614]

In general, a development process starts with an analysis of system requirements, followed by design on system level. Subsequently, the system is decomposed into its components and the components are designed and developed. At this stage, manufacturing of first samples of the components is started. If the components pass funcrtion tests, the parts are assembled and the complete system is tested. After a subsequent acceptance test, this process leads to the final product. [Pg.40]

A EU Type-Approval Mark 1 Component was tested by European accredited testing and certification body and bears the Type-Approval Mark as positive evidence on conformity. Test report is on file with EU body and available on request. 2 End-product manufacturer confirms approval by observing Type-Approval Mark on component and obtains copy of the approval certificate, if necessary, for their technical file. Pass... [Pg.94]

These extmsion grades produce low levels of smoke, aroimd half of a comparable PPO alloy, and on a par with rigid PVC, often the main material chosen for many extruded electrical components such as ducts, conduits, etc. Bayblend FR 3030 even satisfies the Airbus Industrie demands on toxic fumes potentially released in aircraft cabins. It also achieves V-0 at 1.6 mm in UL94 and 1 mm components pass the glow wire test at 960 °C. The materials pass the Epiradiateur test for building panels and the German Bundesbahn test for parts in railway vehicles. [Pg.83]

Samples are 150 x 150 mm and are cut from cabin components or tested in representative thickness. Samples are exposed to a radiemt heat flux of 35 kW/m in a vertical orientation and ignited by an impinging pilot flame. The rate of heat released by flaming combustion is deduced from the calibrated temperature rise of the air stream passing over the sample surface at a prescribed flow rate. The maximum rate of heat release cannot be greater than 65 kW/m over the entire... [Pg.525]

The colorimetric procedure has been applied to each of the fractions isolated from the partition column. The response to the color test has allowed an accurate prediction of the general type of infrared spectra ultimately found. The color test has also been applied to fractions collected from the gas chromatograph. Of the major responses observed when the pyrethrum mixture is passed through the chromatograph, three of the components respond to the color test. At least two other pyrethrin-like compounds of long retention and small quantity also give the color test. No infrared data are available on these. [Pg.62]

The plastic bottle and dispensing tip is made of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) resin, which provides the necessary flexibility and inertness. Because these components are in contact with the product during its shelf life, they must be carefully chosen and tested for their suitability for ophthalmic use. In addition to stability studies on the product in the container over a range of normal and accelerated temperatures, the plastic resins must pass the USP biological and chemical tests for... [Pg.460]

If the laboratory sample has been prepared in a particular way to pass a specific mesh size, the coefficient of variation of the result for one component varies inversely with m, where m is the mass of the test portion. A sampling constant (Ks) can be defined by the following ... [Pg.42]

Prior to initial operation, each piping installation, including components and workmanship, shall be examined in accordance with the applicable requirements of Part GR and the specific requirements of Part IP or PL, and to any greater extent specified by the engineering design. Weld joints not included in the extent of examinations required by Part IP or PL or by the engineering design are acceptable if they pass VT and the leak test required by para. GR-4.10. [Pg.63]

Closure Welds. The final weld connecting piping systems or components that have been successfully tested in accordance with para. IP-10.6 need not be leak tested, provided the weld is examined in-process in accordance with para. IP-10.5.1(c)(8) and passes with 100% radiographic examination in accordance with para. IP-10.5.2 or 100% ultrasonic examination in accordance with para. IP-10.5.5. [Pg.130]

Figure 3.2 Three major methods in chromatography. The commonest form of chromatography involves the introduction of a small volume of sample onto a column and is known as zonal chromatography. Movement down the column is effected by the mobile phase, which may be simply a solvent (A) allowing partition of the test molecules between the stationary and mobile phases. Alternatively, the mobile phase may be a solvent containing solute molecules (B), which actively displace test molecules from the stationary phase. A less frequently used method known as frontal separation (C) does not involve a separate mobile phase but a large volume of the sample is allowed to pass through the column and as the various components separate, concentration fronts develop and their movement can be monitored.
