Bevacizumab is produced using CHO expression in a nutrient medium with gentamicin antibiotic. It has a molecular weight of 149 kDa. The antibody is humanized, with human framework and murine complementarity-determining regions. 

The differences in sequence within the variable region produce a practically unlimited number of possible three-dimensional arrangements for the amino acid side chains to form the complementarity-determining region (CDR), which actually binds to the antigen.
