Colored label

As many as four plots are possible with colors red, green, blue and black. Each plot is scaled independent of the others and the colored labels identify the minimum and maximum of the plot and the name of the quantity being plotted. In addition to the values of X, the RMS deviation in x (Dx) can be plotted. The plot of Dx converges to the RMS deviation of x at the end of the run and represents the current value of the RMS deviation at any point in the plot. [Pg.323]

Perhaps the first published demonstration of high density applications for protein microarrays came from the work of MacBeath and Schreiber at Harvard (2000). Proteins were arrayed onto aldehyde-activated glass slides and analyzed in much the same manner described for the creation of cDNA microarrays (Schena et al., 1995), including the use of dual-color label... [Pg.201]

Figure 24.3 Disciplinary distribution in the map of science of the references in the review publications for hybrid nanomaterials. Each node represents one discipline (e.g., organic chemistry or cell biology). The node size is proportional to the number of references in a given discipline. The lines and distances portray the similarities between disciplines according to their citing patterns over all science—the more similar their citations to all other areas of science, the shorter and darker the lines between them. Light yellow labels display single disciplines. Colored labels are aggregate disciplinary areas (e.g., physics). Backbone map based on Leydesdorff and Rafols.29 (See color insert.)... On completion of each site test, the stage reached in the testing procedure should be clearly indicated. A typical method would be affixing to each instrument or installation a colored label conforming to the following code ... [Pg.563]

After the tests have been completed, the cables should be identified with a colored label which clearly indicates its test status (see above). Wiring should be reconnected on completion of cable testing and recorded as such. [Pg.565]

The simplest color sensing systems are responsible for monitoring only one color across a scene. These are typically used in quality control applications such as monitoring of paints, to ensure consistency between batches made at different times. More sophisticated color sensors look at the color distribution across a two-dimensional image. These systems are capable of complex analysis and can be used for checking multi-colored labels or for identifying multi-colored objects by their color patterns. [Pg.185]

Figure 4.32 illustrates how the various features of the strip chart can be set up. Place the cursor on the plot, right click, and select Properties. A number of page tabs can be selected to select colors, label variables, specify the numerical values of ordinate axis for each variable, set the time abscissa axis, and so on. [Pg.124]
