Color triangle

Moreover, it would be wrong to contradict our definition of equality in a subtype. Triangle is the set of all triangles, colored or not, and it should be the place where you put statements that are true about all of them. Equality on colored triangles could further discriminate on color. But the supertype has stated that as long as the sides are the same, two triangles are equal. [Pg.392]

Most composite colors can be made using the three primary spectral colors red, blue and green. All colors whose points fall inside the color triangle KLO can be made from various combinations of the spectral colors K, L, and O. [Pg.207]

Some composite colors can not be made using the primary colors, specifically any color whose color point falls outside the color triangle KLO. [Pg.208]

FIGURE 9.1 Two-dimensional distal femur with plate, screws, and bone allograft. A ftacture with butterfly bone separation is shown (butterfly bone segment is the lig)it colored triangle on the left). The plate is shown at the right, with screws through overdrilled holes on the near side and ftill attachment to the cortical bone on the left side. The additional bone graft is on the far left of the bone. [Pg.222]

Fio. la. Maxwell triangles (triangular co-ordinates). The color triangle obtained by use of primaries red, blue, and green (B, 0, and B) chosen for convenience or availability. They do not have to form an equilateral triangle, nor is white necessarily at the precise center. Even if pure spectral colors had been selected, the plot of the spectrum locus shows that no three real primaries can be selected which will match all possible colors. [Pg.304]

Figure 7.7 Peptide spot color intensity as a function of doubling dilutions of primary (PR) antibody. PR peptides and PR+ tissue sections were both placed on the same slides and stained with various dilutions of the PR mAb. Color intensity of the peptide spots (square symbols) or tumor cells (triangle symbols) was measured and plotted on the y-axis. The figure shows a linear decline in intensity with decreasing antibody concentrations for both the peptide spots and the tissue sections. Tissue color intensity is measured as optical density on a 0-2 scale. Peptide spot color is measured as mean pixel intensity on a 1-256 scale. Copied with permission from Sompuram et al.6... Equality is relative to type. Suppose that you define that two Triangles are equal if the lengths of their sides are equal. Then someone produces two members of the Triangle type that happen to be colored. One is blue and the other red, but their sides are the same. Are these objects equal ... [Pg.392]

People who are aware of the type Triangle but not ColoredTriangle would say yes. For their purposes, the two Triangles are equal they never ask about a Triangle s color. The fewer differences you re interested in, the more things look the same The more you know, the more differences you can discern. [Pg.392]

Fig. 15.22 Display of predicted Hansch parameters of the sum of inductive and resonance constants (F + R) versus lipophilicity (jr) for 302 commercially available carboxylic acids, acid chlorides, sulphonyl chlorides and isocyanates. Symbol size corresponds to larger molecular size (MR). Circles represent the selected R groups and triangles represent the unselected compounds. Colors convey the segmentation of the diversity reagents into nine sectors for selection. A generalization of the HSI color space, where the white point may be located at an arbitrary position on the triangle, is given by Smith (1978). This color space is known as the HSL color space. [Pg.96]

Figure 6 Yeast aryl alcohol dehydrogenases. The sequences of six yeast open reading frames were aligned simultaneously with the CLUSTAL W program [46], Residues are colored as in Fig. 2A and the Y-X-X-X-K motif is indicated by two black triangles. Because the open reading frames differ dramatically in size, conserved residues are also indicated in regions not present in all six sequences. Figure 6 Yeast aryl alcohol dehydrogenases.
