Closure types

The reaction of phosphorus pentasulfide with a-acylamino carbonyl compounds of type Ilia also yields thiazoles. Even more commonly, a mercaptoketone is condensed with a nitrile of type IVa or a-mercaptoacids or their esters with Schiff bases. This ring closure is limited to the thiazolidines. In the Va ring-closure type, /3-mercaptoalkylamines serve as the principal starting materials, and ethylformate is the reactant that supplies the carbon at the 2-position of the ring. These syntheses constitute the most important route for the preparation of many thiazolidines and 2-thiazohnes. In the Vb t3fpe of synthesis, one of the reactant supplies only the carbon at the 5-position of the resultant thiazole. Then in these latter years new modern synthetic methods of thiazole ring have been developed (see Section 7 also Refs. 515, 758, 807, 812, 822). 

The information on the container and the development pharmaceutics is to cover the qualitative composition (polymeric and other), closure type and method of operation, tightness of the closure, dosing device information, tamper evidence and child resistance, stability of the product in the container, the method of administration of the medicinal product, any sterilization procedures, the ability of the container to protect the contents from external factors,... 

The physical container-closure integrity test method shall be chosen after eon-sideration of the container-closure type, the performanee eriteria, and the available validated test methods. 

The integrity of the product container/closure is assessed by physical tests or microbiological challenge tests and long-term product sterility tests. These tests are specific for container size, fill volume, and closure type. All integrity tests are performed after sterilization and are defined in manufacturing site SOPs.

A variety of shapes and it can accept a wide variety of closure types.

The tectonic complexity of the GEA suggests that it is likely that these regional domains will be separated into a number of secondary pressure cells, although further data are required to confirm this. The relationship between closure type and aquifer overpressure is also unclear. 

Closure types are also listed, including tamper-resistant and child-resistant caps. Liners are also given prominence, along with inner seals and elastomers when used as closures. Aerosols are given specific coverage since they affect both the rate and the amount of drug delivered. 

The shape of the container, its material and the closure type to be labelled all have a major influence on the choice of labelling machine. Cylindrical containers are the easiest to label, provided that they are clean and parallel sided with no protrusions anywhere on the plane to be labelled. Any other shape increases the difficulty of label placement and wipedown. If the closure of the container is of the dispensing type, e.g. aerosol valve, holding the container by means of top pressure during labelling will actuate the aerosol.

Like most high pressure joints, the double cone requires precision machined surfaces. In addition, proper bolt loads and tightening procedures are critical. Double cone gaskets can be used with either a bolted flat head or threaded closure type configuration. 

The quality of rubber stoppers is important in relation to the release of substances or particles into the liquid, the ease with which the rubber can be punctured and the flexibility around the puncture opening. The most often used material is bromine butyl rubber. For oily injections, closures made from an oil resistant elastomer (sDicmie rubber) must be used. The Ph. Eur. describes requirements for rubber closures [33]. Rubber closures for containers for aqueous parenteral preparations are classified in two classes type-I-closures and type-II-closures. Type-II-closures have additional mechanical characteristics, for example being suitable for multiple piercing.
