Chondroitin polysulfate

In a report by Murata (1962) infrared spectroscopic data showing a high degree of sulfation for chondroitin polysulfate have been related to the anticoagulant activity of the polysulfate. (The chondroitin polysulfate had been prepared by sulfation of shark cartilage chondroitin sulfate with chlorosulfonic acid and pyridine.)
