The flour is used for the production of chemically leavened low-ratio and high-ratio cakes and Angel food cakes and related products.

Calcium phosphate, mono [Ca(H2P04)2] and di (CaHP04) Fast-acting chemical leavening agents used for the production of baking powders, baked goods, cakes, and related products. 

It was observed that a doubling of the CSPR resulted in a 65% increase in the upper cell density. The fact that such an increase was achieved suggested that significant improvements in cell density (and related productivity) could be obtained by modification of the CSPR. By day 18, both of these cultures were prematurely ended due to clogging of the spinfilter. Upon inspection of the spinfilter material, a cake of cells was observed to have gathered, which suggested that the high cell densities achieved with this culture are not compatible with a standard spinfilter operation as a cellular retention device. 

Batter A mixture of flour, starches, and other ingredients with water or other liquids that is homogenized by mixing. It has soft, plastic, and viscous properties. Batters are used for breading purposes and for the production of cakes, hot cakes, muffins, wafers, and related products. 

The electrolysis of salt brine yields almost equal amounts of chlorine and caustic. It is rare that the growth or use-rates for the two products are equal. Furthermore, the chlor-alkali balance problem extends to related products such as soda ash, lime, salt cake, and... 

Solids from centrifugal filters are drier and powder-like compared to wetter, viscous consistencies from sedimentation units. Of course this is also related to the nature of the products, usually due to particle size. However, if operating with the same material, a centrifugal filter will provide a firmer, drier cake and the wash will also be far more effective due to residence times and a more effective separation. 

Solution purilication was practiced by 17 plants, with up to 4 stages of purification being reported. Table XI gives the data relating to the common additives used in solution piuification, and Table XII reports the purified solution analyses. The solid product fiom the purification process is a cake, and the cake analyses, by stage, are summarized in Table XIII. 

If ah of the nonfiltration operations are grouped together into a downtime, assumed to be fixed and known, an optimum filtration time in relation to p can be derived by optimizing the average dry cake production obtained from the cycle.
