Bristle

Mechanical cleaning includes scrubbing, scraping, brushing, mechanical shocking, and ultrasonic procedures. Scrubbing with a bristle brush and a mild abrasive is the most widely used of these methods the others are used principally as supplements to remove heavily encrusted corrosion products before scrubbing. Care should be used to avoid the removal of sound metal. 

Filament is prepared by extrusion followed by hot stretching. It may be used for brush bristles or for decorative purposes such as in the manufacture of woven lampshades. 

Compared with nylon 66 fibres, the polyurethane fibres (known as Perlon U) have a tensile strength at the higher end of the range quoted for nylon 66, they are less prone to discolouration in air, are more resistant to acid conditions and they have a lower moisture absorption. On the debit side they are less easy to dye, are hard, wiry and harsh to handle and have too low a softening point for many applications. They are currently of little importance but have found some use in bristles, filler cloths, sieves and a few other miscellaneous applications. 

Rubber or plastic gloves, face shields or goggles, rubber boots or over-shoes, face masks and an all-purpose respirator Household dustpan (rubber or polythene), brush and large bucket (preferably polythene), an ordinary steel shovel, stiff bristle brush and a soft brush, for sweeping up and containing broken glass, and industrial cotton mops, plastic foam mops or squeegees...

A gasoline spillage ignited when someone attempted to sweep it up with a broom that had plastic bristles. The spillage should have been covered with foam.

Pulleys should be inspected prior to replacing belts to ensure they are in good operating condition. Damaged, worn, or dirty pulleys will reduce the effective lifetime of belts significantly. Wipe clean any oil or grease that has accumulated on the pulley and use a stiff brush with bristles that are softer than the pulley material to clean off rust and dirt. 

Copper and nickel alloys Dip for 1-3 min in 1 1 HCl or 1 10 HjSOj at room temperature. Scrub lightly with bristle brush under running water, using fine scouring powder if needed. 

Rinse in water to remove the acid, brush very lightly with a soft bristle brush to remove any loose film, and rinse again. If film remains, immerse for 1 min in concentrated nitric acid and repeat previous steps. Nitric acid may be used alone if there are no deposits. Lead alloys Preferably use the electrolytic cleaning procedure just described. Alternatively, immerse for 5 min in boiling 1% acetic acid. Rinse in water to remove the acid and brush very gently with a soft bristle brush to remove any loosened matter. 

Stainless steels Clean stainless steels in 20% nitric acid at 60°C for 20 min. In place of chemical cleaning, use a brass scraper or brass bristle brush or both, followed by scrubbing with a wet bristle brush and fine scouring powder. 

D. Use a hard bristle toothbrush to tiio roughly cleanse the mouth and teeth of debris. 

The brush phases are made from the mono-chlorsilanes or the mono-alkoxysilanes which attach a single organic moiety to each reacted hydroxyl group. For example using octyldimethylchlorsilane, dimethyloctyl chains would be attached to the surface like bristles of a brush, hence the term brush phase. In all bonding processes, some hydroxyl groups remain unreacted which would allow the polar character of the silica play a part in retention and also render the surface liable to dissolution in water and dilute acids. For this reason the material is capped by treatment with either trimethylchlorsilane or hexamethyldisilazane to eliminate any unreacted or stearically... 

The annelids include the bristle worms and blood worms in which toxicity is associated with bristle-like setae and/or biting jaws. In the order Polychaetae, toxicity is usually found in three genera (Chloeia, Eurythoe, Hemodice). The platyhelminthes are not associated with many cases of human toxicity. The only class of platyhelminthes in which toxicity can readily be found is in the Turbellaria. In the Rhynchocaela (ribbon worms), toxic species include Lineus sp. Some platyhelminthes (e.g., Planocera multitenta) have been found to contain tetrodotoxin 16).

Teeners That is true. Most of what we are looking at here in the discs is growth in mitotic cells. Bristle size may mainly reflect post-mitotic growth.
