Bidding instructions

These require the direct participation of both the Project Manager and the Contracts Engineer. In addition to information concerning bid submittal date, format, and required pricing structure, the bidding instructions must include a complete list of the information that must be provided by the bidders as a prerequisite to having their bids evaluated, including ... [Pg.153]

DO review the commercial bidding instructions before they are issued to insure that the special conditions documents are consistent with the particular project. [Pg.158]

Bidding requirements- The procedures and conditions for the submission of bids. The requirements are included ion documents, such as the notice to bidders, advertisements for bids, instructions to bidders, invitations to bid, and sample bid forms. [Pg.227]

Main and nominated subcontract. This is where one contractor is appointed and known as the main contractor and the client nominates or instructs this contractor to appoint a named firm to carry out part of the works. Sometimes bids will have been sought separately prior to the involvement of the main contractor ... [Pg.91]

The presence of an active metabolite and the duration of parent compound and metabolite half-life all impact the clinical interpretation of dosing, side effects, and potential for withdrawal. Fluoxetine and its active metabolite, both of which have a relatively long half-life, remain in the system for a long time after discontinuation. Industry prescribing instructions for fluvoxamine recommend a bid dosing regimen, in part because of the absence of an active metabolite. Paroxetine, without an active metabolite and with a relatively short half-life, has been anecdotally associated with late-day withdrawal effects. [Pg.274]

The creation by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of new property rights for personal communication services (PCS) is instructional. The new PCS services are thought by investors to be so valuable that their bids for electromagnetic spectrum rights include payments to buy out the current users of that portion of the spectrum and set them up with equivalent personal communications services (Andrews 1992). [Pg.83]

I have my Irwin Cat returned by this morning s post. Did you buy 517 Secret [word illegible] c. I meant to have bid for that. Also, did you buy 444 Tarot. I meant to bid for that tho the instruction we get from the G[olden] D[awn] is probably better. Also, did you have 233 If you get any of these, I shall be glad to borrow them, or one at a time, when I shall have returned 476. All kind regards. In haste,... [Pg.41]

On the other hand, the bid package for a reimbursable contract, no matter how large, could be quite simple but still requires attention to all details. If the scope is not accurate and the instructions precise and clear, the bids will not be comparable and their evaluation would be, at best, cumbersome. [Pg.145]

Especially useful to chemists are Chemical Abstracts and Analytical Abstracts. Some databases can be accessed via the Internet, such as BIDS (Bath Information and Data Service), a UK service providing access to information from over 7000 periodicals (username and password required via your library). Each of these databases usually has its own easy-to-follow menu instructions. It is worthwhile to consider key words for your search beforehand to focus your search and save time. [Pg.317]

The PODER technique is the first novel hybrid technique presented in this book. It was initially based in the CCA technique and its two-element queue to keep track of the changes in the program s control flow, called BID and CFID. The technique aims at detecting a few types of control flow errors, such as (1) incorrect jumps to the beginning of a BB, (2) incorrect jumps inside the same BB, (3) incorrect jumps to unused memory addresses, and (4) control flow loops. It is important to mention that PODER cannot detect errors in branch instructions, where a path should have been taken, but was not taken, and vice versa. In order to do so, it must be combined with the Inverted Branches software-based technique, described previously in Sect. 4.3. [Pg.51]

When combining all operations, one can notice that operations (1), (2), and (4) are performed in the beginning of the BB, while operations (3) and (5) are inserted in the end of the BB. In order to optimize the technique, we combine a few operations. The bottleneck in implementing these operations lays in the value that has to be sent to the hardware module, since only one value can be sent per instruction. The reset XOR does not have to send any data and therefore can be combined with the send BID or the enqueue CFID . The same applies to the dequeue CFID , which can be combined with the check XOR . The result of both techniques apphed to the same example code can be seen in Fig. 4.10. [Pg.58]

While AIHA supports lowering existing concentration limits for respirable coal mine dust, the organization objects to MSHA s bid to expand the requirements of certified persons who perform dust sampling and who maintain and calibrate sampling equipment, said AIHA President Michael T. Brandt, DrPH, CIH, PMP, in a written statement. Linder the proposal, individuals must be certified by passing an MSHA examination to demonstrate competency in respirable coal mine dust after completing an MSHA course of instruction. [Pg.16]

The client, owner, or customer may require that bids be submitted in a specific format or fashion. This leads to the engineer developing bid forms that will be completed by bidders. Similarly, special instructions to bidders may be prepared to explain steps in the bidding process such as how to obtain a set of bidding documents, place and time to submit a proposal, withdrawal of a submitted bid, and conditions under which proposals could be rejected. [Pg.278]

Where exact instructions or specifications are not available, the contractor is going to bid and consequently furnish the product that is most economical. For a meaningful economic evaluation, the following information must be known ... [Pg.378]
